Remarks :

College management is very poor while considering their attitude towards the extra caricular activities and social life for students. They have only the intention to score marks and ranks, for that management is imposing a very high pressure in students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum and Exam structure is just ment to score marks in exam also to achieve good rank and name. It doesn't have much important while we started to work in any core compnies, because we didn't have practical knowledge about the work. Theoretical knowledge is gained from the education system and it is not enough when we enter into the profession.

Placement Experience :

IBM, Infosys, RM etc are the main compnies who visited our campus for the placement drive. Also their are many small compnies, who are promising to give a salary below Rs. 10000/-. Which is very small while considering our educational loan as 5lakh rupees. Also these compnies are not our core compnies. Most of the compnies are from IT sector which doesn't even give any experience in our field of education. About 10 % of the students are placed per year from our college. Also they conduct several sessions to perform well in placement sessions.

College Events :

Actually my college doesnt promote much extra caricular activities. Due to the students compellsion and also the universitys list of activities, they do celebrate 1 day college fest and also celebrations as onam. But these fest may be cancelled at any time of the day, be prepared for it.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure is quite expensive, but while considering other private colleges, the fees is normal. As the fees I had paid about 5 lakhs during the whole academics, including the college bus. Also they asked us to pay 1lakh as fixed deposit or paying Rs10000/- per year as their interest.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I completed my course by taking educational loan from the centeral bank of india. It was an easy procedure, becouse one of the staff working their was my fathers friend. I have wrote a letter to the manager asking eductional loan, after that from college I have submitted documents to the bank.

Campus Life :

In my campus male students are more when compared to females. Campus doesn't support much in extra caricular activities. They often create debate competitions and also supports internships and woekshops. Their is no politics in campus. Since the institution is a christian management, they support much in christian activities such as jesus youth.

Alumni/Alumna :

Most of my college seniors has suffered lot due to the selfish nature of management, so their valuable advice has helped me to improve in academics and also outside the college.

Admission :

I have a passion about studying various structures from childhood onwards, so after my 12th standard, I was decided to choose civil engineering as my career, So I started to prepare for KEAM Enterence Examination conducted by Kerala. And I scored good rank. The next step is opting the college, It is one of the main stage than preparing for keam exam. Because the college which we are studying plays a major role in our career development. So I opted cet as my firSt preference, becouse it is the top most Engineering college in kerala. But unfortunately I didint get selected in that college so I choosed Marian engineering college as my second option and after few weaks I got call from college saying I got selected.

Faculty :

Their are more than 25 staff members in civil engineering department, Age varying from 25 to 70. Most of the teachers have experience in the field of teaching. Also their are a lot of faculties who doesn't even know the importance of learning that subject. The salaries which they get are also too low, so they are not dedicated much in their profession. Most of the lectures s have min educational qualification as mtech, also their are many lectures who took phd in their subjects.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

Placement Experience:

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
