The well-formulated course curriculum is based on the different streams which deal with animation. The History, Visuals, Sculpting are basic which belong to the various streams. The final semester we are made to make a thesis and project for the examination.

Placement Experience

The numerous job placement that the institute provides to the students is excellent. In my batch almost the students were recruited in big firms as animators in big industries. The overall stipend which is provided to the students is also pretty good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee is Rs.3.48 Lakhs approximately for the whole year. It includes the fees for three years which is Rs.1.57 Lakhs for the first year, Rs.95, 206 for the second year and the third year fees is Rs.95, 206. The admission fee is taken in the first year which amounts to Rs.7, 320. The fees are very affordable for the course.

Campus Life

With education the college also motivates us to take part in various activities. The college has a really great infrastructure and the best facilities which no other institute provides. The institute is named after the great Satyajit Ray and they have maintained the dignity of the name of the legend.

Admission

I got admission by giving the JET exams that happen every year. There was an interview round for which I was selected. I felt lucky enough to get shortlisted in the final admission list. There was a medical test which was taken by the institute later when the admission was granted.

Faculty

The faculty at the institute which teaches us is the best. They have taught us many lessons that were life awakening. With them the teaching-learning process becomes fruitful. The best bunch of professors taught us the course when we were learning it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen the course because it was my passion to serve for democracy being the fourth pillar of it. There were 4 faculty members in total and 40 students. The faculty members came from different universities. Our HOD Dr Mausumi Bhattacharya has completed her Post Doctoral fellowship from ICSSR. The exams were held twice a year based on the semester system. They were quite moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is student-friendly. The students have access to the Mac Lab and Media Lab, there is also a departmental library. Though the infrastructure is not great, the faculty members still try their best to help the students in any way possible, by arranging many workshops and seminars. The focus is generally on developing academic and research aptitudes in students alongside helping them develop technical skills with limited facilities.
