Course Curriculum Overview :

The course offer specialization in many fields like data mining, mobile computing, operations research, soft computing ,Python Programming, Artificial Intelligence,Visual Programming Soft Computing, Infrastructure, Resources and Education Management in E-Learning, Accounting & Financial Management and many more.

Placement Experience :

Placement cell is very good. Many good IT based companies come here like Accenture, IBM, white cloud infotech pvt.ltd., techtern , Infosys and many more . Many senior friends got placed last year in cities like Mangalore and Bangalore.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The semesters are divided into 4. The per semester fee is 38,500 and it's paid at the beginning of the new semester. The fee is not very expensive and not very feasible for me. The college was suitable for my requirements so I opt for this institute.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have not received any one yet . But for students who score more than 70% marks in degree examination get total Rs 40,000 scholarship for MBA, Rs 30,000 for MCA-3 Year and Rs 20,000 for MCA Lateral Entry. Also, there is full fee concession to the first University Rank holder in any degree and 50% fee concession for 2nd and 3rd University rank holder in any degree Total Rs 40,000 scholarship for MBA, Rs 20,000 for MCA 2 Year, who have studied degree in any Chinmaya Institutions, Kannur.

Campus Life :

Labs are provided very well. My course is for computer only so it's very important to work in labs. All the submissions and projects work are computer language based. Many webinars and personality development programmes and personal students mentors are available.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. But I chose to live in PG for few months and then I shifted to flat on rent. The hostel facilities are fine but I don't like it much there so I shifted.

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are very friendly and helpful. They guided us very well about the course in the beginning of the session. They also provided us course Material . I made many senior friends and many got placed in good companies last year.

Admission :

I got admission through entrance exam. The extrance exam include maths, statistics, aptitude, general english, GK ,etc. The test include 120 questions and the time duration is 120 minutes . One must practice a lot for quantitative aptitude and statistics. I always had interest in computer so I opt for MCA after my BCA course.

Faculty :

The faculties are all very supportive. All are very professional with their work. Faculties inform us about placements and all the updates since the beginning. The course is also very well taught. There are many senior professors and many new teachers also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed MCA at Nirmala College due to several reasons: • It is a course which is open to anyone who has passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and above. The only prerequisite is that one need to attend the annual LBS MCA entrance examination to secure admission to this course. • The syllabus of MCA in this college is affiliated with that of MG University, Kottayam. It is a vast syllabus covering various applications of computer science including programming in various languages such as C, Java, PHP, Python, data structures, algorithms, statistics, data mining, machine learning, software engineering, networking, etc. • The course is theoretically good but practically it doesn't really equip all students with enough knowledge and understanding to be placed in a good IT company. Some portions could be excluded from various theory subjects such as Networking with TCp/Ip and Algorithms Analysis.

From 3rd the semester placements take place but basically, it is very low in our college only 20-30 % of students are getting placed. only a very small no of companies are coming to the placement. Availability of jobs is still in doubt
