Remarks :
The college life of an Yuvaraja's college student itself is a good experience. The lecturers and students are very friendly and caring too. If encourages the student to study more because of its beautiful campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course syllabus consists of zoology and biotechnology which are designed in a way which is helpful in future studies. Yes the curriculum is based on practical experience and it helps us to get selected to very good campus and also at final semister there will be industry visit organised for the students.
Placement Experience :
There is a separate placement cell in our college which guide the students in campus selections and also many companies and industries have visited the campus in recent years such as Infosys technologies Ltd and L&T etc. Many research industries also have interest towards our college. About 30% of students belonging to physical sciences will get selected in campus selections.
College Events :
There are many curricular and extra curricular activities held in the college. A 2 days college fest known as yureka will be held which is famous for its scientific events and fun events too. There is a one week function called fun week will be held in our college also 2 days orientation will be there for freshers.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is affordable both for poor and financially disable students. The payment mode is offline by paying fee in university bank. There are no additional charges for anything. There is complete transparency during fee payment. There are 2 modes of fee payment called scheme A and B.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No I have not opted for any scholarship or education loan but there are many scholarships available in the college. The marks obtained is the eligibility for the scholarship and we can apply online for it.
Campus Life :
The campus life in Yuvaraja's college is awesome and the campus is lush green and clean. There is very less gender gap in the college. There are many student oriented programmes such as YUREKA and fun week. In YUREKA many competitions like debate, dance, singing,robotics and etc are performed. And the labs are well equipped for present day requirements. There is no politics in the college campus and annual sports will be held by the college to encourage sportsmanship in the students.
Hostel Facilities :
No I have not opted for any hostels or PG. The college has 2 hostels for men and 1hostel for women in its campus. The rooms are spacious and clean and it's is sharing rooms and seats are very limited. So there are many paid guest(PG) around the campus with affordable rate ( about 2500-4000 per month).
Alumni/Alumna :
The college has very good alumni status. Many kings of Mysore studied in our college. Kuvempu, well known Kannada Poet Siddaramaiah and S M Krishna, former Chief ministers of Karnataka are some of the notable alumni of our college.
Admission :
B Sc in biotechnology is a good futuristic subject having a very wide scope in research field. The institution have well educated professors and education quality is good. The admission is based on the marks obtained on 12th STD. Councelling will be called and seats will be alloted.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college are enriched with knowledge. There is 1 lecturer for every 30 to 34 students. And alla are 30 and above aged showing about there experience in education field. And there will be special classes on doubt clarifications also. All the lecturers have great profile of research experience in their specific fields.
