Remarks :
The college infrastructure is good and the campus is green with a lot of tresses. Mathur's is close to NCR and is a good tourist, religious and cultural place. There are old bazaars as well as modern shopping complexes. The architecture of Mathura is unique and has a very important place in history. Architecture course at GL Bajaj Mathura is famous as it is the only architecture college of the region. The first day was good with a lot of questions from senior batch all were friendly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There is one faculty for every 10 student which is more than enough. The faculties are all qualified with at least 10-25 years of experience. The college does weekly debates which help in improving communication skills.
Internships Opportunities :
The college gave its recommendation letter for firms in NCR. Most of the faculties have good contacts across India and have a good network due to which the students rarely have to face any difficulties.
Placement Experience :
All the seniors are well placed in architecture firms across India. Many of them have settled abroad in Dubai and USA. Many are pursuing masters and PhD in IITs and foreign universities. Seniors are getting paid well starting from 40k/month as beginners and up to 1.5 lakhs/month for experienced architects.
Campus Life :
Agantuk, Visage and Adamya are the respective annual Freshers, cultural and sports fest. The college organizes inter-departmental competitions and participates in numerous inter-college competitions organized by the university AKTU.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is as good as home. The food is up to the mark. The menu of the mess keeps rotating. The best part of the hostel is that it comes within the campus and is 2 min walk from college building. It has a big gym, table tennis, badminton court and a few indoor games.
Interview Experience :
There was a general discussion of why you want to join Architecture and what inspires you the most. The interview cum discussion is taken by a faculty from the architecture department in a very friendly way and it really doesn't look like an interview.
