Hello, JAGAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES ROHINI SECTOR-5 is a Autonomous Institute, which is AICTE & AIU approved and granted equivalence to MBA, JIMS is also into 75 elite B- schools in INDIA according to NIRF (MHRD). JIMS is also NBA and SAQS accredited, and has also achieved NAAC 'A' GRADE INSTITUTE. These all accreditation and affiliations are the strongest part that i found and hence i choose it my PGDM college as a major part of decision in my life, has proven to be the best. I opted PGDM in international business with the dual specialization in Marketing, One should opt this college for the effective placements that they offer to the students in every area of interest and ample of opportunities given to them. All the big brands come to college for placements. The college has a good infrastructure and an ethical environment to study and attain good skills for budding professionals. A big change is we gain to have practical knowledge, through live projects & summer internships.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Its a trimester system in JIMS ROHINI SEC-5 with around 7 to 8 subjects in each trimester. electives that are offered are HR, FINANCE, MARKETING, OPERATIONS, INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS and IB and RETAIL MANAGEMENT as a major are also there to opt. IB has a good scope and a global perspective. expert mentors are allotted to a batch of 10 students with a project that has to be submitted.
Internships Opportunities :
Equally, good internship opportunities are given, sales profile and research profile are the major tasks for marketing students and for IB some export documentation roles are there my company was JAQUAR project was to do research on the Bathing industry of SRILANKA and Tunisia, markets in which they want to penetrate
Placement Experience :
Mock GD and personal interviews are there to make students ready for placements, college really supports the new startup ideas and also provide the funding to a great idea. the companies that come are for the specific profiles and relevant specializations, marketing companies come for like sales profile, research profile, advertising etc. alumni support is there in order to guide with the type of companies and their roles and they share their PI experiences.
Campus Life :
verve and Oasis were are big fest of the college with every time there's a star night or celebrity is invited. good 2 big libraries are there with ample of reading data online and offline also. classrooms are well equipped with a projector a whiteboard and a green board in each classroom, with 4 air conditioners and comfortable seating arrangements, there are clubs organised be students only, like cultural club, marketing club, finance club, international business club etc
Admission :
firstly competitive examination score is must have admission in JIMS ROHINI SEC-5 CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA eligibility criteria should be achieved, then a round of GROUP DISCUSSION and PERSONAL INTERVIEW.
Interview Experience :
10 students per GD are there, topic of my GD was do you think brands depict your original personality. i was not in the favor of this topic as Armani or a local brand both if not carried properly could be a negative impact, tips for GD just be to the point, show your leadership skills by starting first, speak valid with facts and figures, respect others opinion, be a good listener, never create a fish market and shout unnecessary, maintain a good body language, speak politely, and never ever show yourself dumb if you don't have knowledge of the topic also
