My College Review

Remarks :

Alpha College of Engineering, thoroughly brings the best out of the person with its special degree program called B.E+. It comprises our normal B.E degree with B.E.C which stands for Business English Certificate, which is very essential when we face interviews and it's really helpful for migration to any foreign country. To add, even Alpha college of Engineering is affiliated to Pan-IIT Alumni Leadership Series(PALS), which is an organization filled with IIT alumni, who mould and carve us by project competitions, case study analysis events, etc, which helps us to think in every angle.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Computer Science and Engineering here is a robust course, which is so vast that we can get into any stream and interest. The electives here are really reasonable, which is much related to the work environment outside so that we don't have to struggle outside.

Internships Opportunities :

The placement officer, apart from placements, makes sure that students gain their priceless industrial experience through internships, workshops, training, etc. Alpha, also is tied up with Internshala and we have reputed firms tied up in it.

Placement Experience :

Placement is what, Alpha is known for Alpha College of Engineering makes sure that all the students are placed into good companies. The placement officer makes sure that everyone is placed according to their interests. Alpha College has students placed in eminent firms like TCS, ATOS Syntel, CSS Corp, etc. As per the alumni, they make sure that the chain of help is always maintained. The alumni of Alpha come to the college to discuss their industrial exposure, their experience which motivates all of us and prepares us to face any circumstances.

Campus Life :

Our college conducts cultural, tech fests, symposiums, conferences, etc which was always conducted in a grand manner. Students from various colleges come and demonstrate the best of the skills, which is a great benefit for both sides. In the perspective of resources, Alpha has got a robust number of books of various categories, journals, IEEE papers, Videotapes, etc, which is really resourceful. The classroom decorum is perfect in Alpha and overall, my experience here was really good.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
