Remarks :

SGSITS wil remain the ligh house for engineer excellence in central india, because of its faculties and their dedication it will enlighten more and more engineer in top position in primier institutes.

Entrance Preview :

I had taken MP CET for MCA, i was ranked 104 in general category ranking. At the time of councelling i had option for opting other know institute i had choosen SGSITS, indore because its a well established engineering college of central india, having a reputation around more than 50 years at that time. Also college had autonomous status which gives student to have their say in curriculum design and course to take. Also my uncle had done engineering from the same college around 30 years back, so it was a motivation for me to get into the same college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Ours was the first batch of MCA, considering it, the course was well design, having the autonomous status we had been asked to refer to other universities curriculum and if we find anything worth taking we can talk to HOD to introduce it in next semester.

Internships Opportunities :

i had done internship on networking with my faculty who is also persuing the MTECH from the same institute. it was a good experinace, earlier i had been part of college CCNA/CCNP team and had been working in CISCO sponsered lab for our internship work.

Placement Experience :

Nearly all the well known companies visited the college, pay packages for premium companies like Google, Microsoft is at par with RECs and NIITs.

College Events :

In my second year of MCA, College had completed 50 years of its establishment, it was a grand celebration, then at that time the President of India republic his majestic APJ abdul kalam enogorated the ceremony. Many union minister like Murli manohar joshi (HRD), Sumitra mahahan, Digvijay singh (CM of MP then also a ex- allumini) visited the ceremony.Also college had annual sports gala and cultural event which is known to be one of the best.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For MCA general category it was at par with other private institute fees. Hostel accomodation was reasonable and mess food was cheap. there was fees relief for economic weaker section and stifend given for research work.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I had been on student loan from SBI, college had an OBC bank branch which offers loan for study purpose.

Campus Life :

Computer labs was excellent and are sponsered by companines like CISCO, CSC, Patni, TCS etc. For MCA course the gender ration was 60:40 (MF), as such i had not observed any intolerance issues, we had collegues from nearly all the religious belief. Political involvement and student uniions are banned as per director, if student find involved in AVBP unions strict actions are taken against him.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel was on twin sharing basis and had been alloted as per merit, seats are limited only 30-40 percent of the total strength will be confirmed, Rental s are reasonable, hostel infrastucture was poor as basic faciities like telephone was missing at that time.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

There is a strong allumini network for BE, as we are the first batch for MCA we dont have any such network. But never the less the BE allumious and training and placement officer conducted special councelling for MCA students for cracking the campus interviews.

Exam Structure :

Since its an autonomous institute, Paper patterns are never known in advance, marking was done on step manner, we had prepare from the day one as the syllabus is tought leaving last minutes preparation aside.

Faculty :

All the faculties are having a rich experiance in engineering and teaching. it had been a premier college for BE, there was LAB sponsered by CISCO, CSC, and many others. College infrasturcture was one of its best at that time.

Life at Medicaps University

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is good that it covers all basics but not advanced to cover the gap of industry skills also it binds me so that I could not learn any thing outside of it because of continuous exams we have to focus on curriculum. Curriculum does not prepare us for real world things , but it does prepare our fundamentals. It should teach us market trends and technologies. Exams are every month they are mid sem and end sem exams are in 3-4 months.

Placement Experience:

The placements are just for the sake of advertisement. Mostly people get placed off campus and i have the same plans. Out of 100,only 5-10 people get placed on campus. My plans are to find a good job off campus.

SGSITs - Honest Review.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I saw the practical aspects of this college, which is really good. This course coverd all the important aspects of bca and they teach with proper guidance.
