Remarks :

Amazing Institution and has been a great Alma mater hats off to what this institute has churned out and today it is a very big name in the Hospitality industry in Mumbai. so proud of being a pass out from there.

Entrance Preview :

All India Exams for Hotel Management and got selected for a IHM Bhopal so opted for this Mumbai IHMCT COLLEGE. The entrance exams were very tough but interesting. Wanted to be a part of the Hospitality industry so really proud of what I am.

Course Curriculum Overview :

F&B Service, operations and Management F&B Production and Kitchen Management Housekeeping and Accommodation/ Front Office. Service. Operations and Management in all three years. Accountancy, Economics, French.

Internships Opportunities :

Loads of colleges and retail companies came in for Industrial Training. I did my Interns with the Taj Vivanta. it was then called the Taj President at Cuffe Parade Mumbai. I was paid 750 rupees per month. Also trained at the Copper Chimney and at the Retreat Hotel in Malad.

Placement Experience :

Most of the Hotels came for the recruitment Campus. The Leela's. The Taj and The Sarovar Group. They Offered anywhere between 7000 - 8000 then. way back in 1995.

College Events :

We always celebrated a Food Festival annually which was a part of the extra curriculum and we fetched marks on the overall Group. Team Performance. We organised Food Festivals on a pre decided theme. like Sanjhi Chaath. which was a multi-cuisine festival and catered to 500 guests.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Was expensive then so about 40-45000 every year for 3 year programme. First Year Thirty Thousand Rupees Second Year. Thirty seven thousand and last year Fory thousand rupees

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Nothing was easily accessible or available those times. But education loans were available only from Punjab National Bank. Further studies abroad were encouraged and earn while you learn tok a boom.

Campus Life :

Gender ratios were 80:20- M:F.great extra curricular activities like cricket and basket ball. Since it was a Musilm Institution we celebrated Eid and all the Traditions very much. We also celebrated Onam and all the other religious days celebrations regularly.

Hostel Facilities :

I didnt avail any hostel facilites. But they were quite simple and clean but habitable. Big clean rooms. Mess provided meals all three times a day and two days only two meals were given.in a month. where hey carried out deep cleaning too

Alumni/Alumna :

It was a fairly new college so. interaction was minimal. But the seniors are supposed to be your buddies. So in that context they supported to the best of their ability.

Exam Structure :

Exams were Term based and tough but I still managed to complete my 3 year degree too from Mumbai University simultaneously. So i guess a little liberal too.

Faculty :

All of them were IHM pass outs and Graduates with a similar degree. Also specialists from Finance, Economics and Business Management were a part of the three years schedule.

Remarks:

There are very positive remarks one of which is teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. This particular course helps students to develop their soft skill. The curriculum is designed so well that it forces you to get out of your comfort zone and grow as person. I can't say anything was bad. There were things which could be improved such as Proper locker Room and changing room for students but this issue was solved later on when I was about to finish my degree.

Remarks:

Over and above academics and technical skills, one of the more important things the college imbibed in us were values. The college to me is an ideal hotel management institution. If you have the drive in you to make it big in the hotel industry, leave the rest to the team at Rizvi College and they will make you shine.

Remarks:

I don't think I could think of any bad remark but I would like if the college had a personal ground for the students even though we can go to the shivaji park ground for certain activities. The faculty, the food , the accommodation and everything is very good and adjustable. The only issue you might face is the absence of all class being air conditioned because the atmosphere of Mumbai is really challenging But the institution is all together very good.
