Remarks :

Our college has a peaceful environment with vast campus space. But the infrastructure is old. Also there isn't placement opportunities for the students. The hostels can be improved by a great deal. But the faculty is good, although some practical work can be improved in teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum has an interesting mix of practical application of theoretical knowledge. The course focuses more on application knowledge and so the exams are not at all hectic. and are conducted in right time.

Placement Experience :

The college does not have placements for architecture students. While B.tech students are recruited by major companies there is no company exposure for us. Also the college does not provide any internships.

College Events :

There are a lot of events conducted in our college. We also celebrate the regional and national festivals. There are also fests and freshers party for the students. Also several workshops and job fairs are also held on the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The college fees is feasible as compared to the other college sin the region. But that is only the tuition fee, the hostel fees and such are very expensive and not up to the mark. The fees is 75,000 plus for each semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I belong to general category so I could not get any scholarship but there is a special scholarship for students from Kashmir and also for students from north eastern states. These students get a good amount of scholarship.

Campus Life :

We have sports events in our college and they are pretty good. We also celebrate Lohri which is the regional festival. There is freshers and farewell party for the students. But there isn't a student association.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel fees is extremely expensive and the hostel is not up to the mark. THe mess food tastes horrible and the washrooms are not cleaned properly. Over all the hostels are not at all maintained in good condition and there aren't enough rooms in girls hostel.

Admission :

After getting my rank in NATA, I had chosen this college out of the available options in counselling. I had submitted my certificates and paid the course fees at the counselling center itself. After which I submitted the allotment order I got from there with the required documents to the college.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is very experienced and teach their respected subjects in a thorough manner. Some of the faculty are the retired chief architect of Punjab. They help out the students with assignments and projects in all possible manner. But there isn't much practical work.

Admission:

I was interested in pursuing Bachelors in Architecture and those opted for this college. I took the JEE Main Paper 2 and qualified it. Sat for the counselling and got the college in the later rounds of counselling. Admissions to the college are done based on the merit. However, certain seats are also offered through management quota.

Placement Experience:

Internship opportunities are available for students. Students can search for Internship outside and the placement cell also guides students about the same. Placement rate of the college is nice. A good number of companies come to the campus and students can also explore job opportunities outside. Many seniors have got decent placement package.

Remarks:

It typically takes a semester or quarter to hit your stride. Looking back on those early days you may very well shake your head and wonder what all the fuss was about. You might even feel a little nostalgic! A few students, however, may feel overwhelmed and homesick for a while. They may miss their parents, friends, even the family dog. They may find that going to college is not quite what they expected. If this turns out to be you, take advantage of on-campus counseling services. Virtually all colleges have such services. Your health center staff can help you get started. They are highly experienced at helping students just like you.

Entrance Preview:

I took the NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) and obtained the score 80 / 200 . I appeared once again for the examination in the same year and scored 100/200 so average was calculated as 90.

Admission:

I migrated from another college in 2nd year to RIMT, as it was recommended by a friend. I went to the campus in the month of August and got the form from them. After the form was filled , it was immediately submitted and got the admission confirmed within nearly a week.
