  • 75 percent attendence is hectic and you have to come college daily
  • There is a fixed dress code the chitkara t shirts which you have to wear everyday and come to college

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is updates every year which is a great plus point amongst other colleges The external faculties teach and help deal us with real life scenarios by making us work on real sites The exams are moderately difficult nad can be cleared studing easily

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is made easy with the help of contacts of the teachers and faculty members almost every student is placed . The alumini network plays an importamt role in placement of the students . The stipend is approx 20000 per month

Placement Experience :

The college provides decent placements . Most of the placements are through the alumini network of the college and over more than 70 percent children get placed . Highest package accounts til 9 lpa which quiet good in architecture and average package accouts for 7 lpa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

90000 per semester and no quotas or reservations in the college There is one time fee of 20000 180000 per year is the fees which is preety fair compared to Chandigarh university U have to pay fees for 9 semsters only and not for 10th Total fees is 830000

Campus Life :

Every festivel is celebrated in college and there are regular fests and events happening in the college There are pitara nights in which singers and celebs come for performances and freshers is a big event There are many department specific events and it also hosts NASA events for Architecture The library is well equiped with nearly 6000 architectural contexts inhouse the library University focuses on extra curriclar acyivities also and has different clubs for it

Admission :

I applied in chandigarh university and chandigarh college of architecture I chose chitkara over them because of the infrastructure and exposure it provides is much better than both of these Inspite of CCA being a great college it lacks good profersers and needs a revival now U have to clear Nata enterance test to be eligible for Chitkara school of planning and Architecture

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is near 1:8 and relationship with them is very much friendly and lovely The best faculties include Ar. Pardeep Singh Maan Ar. Manmohit Singh and Dr. Harveen Bhandari These teachers put there wholesome experience in teaching and guiding you to the right path There are 3 st s amongst which you have to clear 2 with more than 60 percent marks to be eligible in end term examinations and there are 8 assignments per subject each semester

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh College of Architecture - [CCA] | Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]

The proffersers were not good and were arrogant

Remarks:

Our college has a peaceful environment with vast campus space. But the infrastructure is old. Also there isn't placement opportunities for the students. The hostels can be improved by a great deal. But the faculty is good, although some practical work can be improved in teaching.

Admission:

I was interested in pursuing Bachelors in Architecture and those opted for this college. I took the JEE Main Paper 2 and qualified it. Sat for the counselling and got the college in the later rounds of counselling. Admissions to the college are done based on the merit. However, certain seats are also offered through management quota.

Placement Experience:

Internship opportunities are available for students. Students can search for Internship outside and the placement cell also guides students about the same. Placement rate of the college is nice. A good number of companies come to the campus and students can also explore job opportunities outside. Many seniors have got decent placement package.

Remarks:

It typically takes a semester or quarter to hit your stride. Looking back on those early days you may very well shake your head and wonder what all the fuss was about. You might even feel a little nostalgic! A few students, however, may feel overwhelmed and homesick for a while. They may miss their parents, friends, even the family dog. They may find that going to college is not quite what they expected. If this turns out to be you, take advantage of on-campus counseling services. Virtually all colleges have such services. Your health center staff can help you get started. They are highly experienced at helping students just like you.

Entrance Preview:

I took the NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) and obtained the score 80 / 200 . I appeared once again for the examination in the same year and scored 100/200 so average was calculated as 90.

Admission:

I migrated from another college in 2nd year to RIMT, as it was recommended by a friend. I went to the campus in the month of August and got the form from them. After the form was filled , it was immediately submitted and got the admission confirmed within nearly a week.
