Remarks :
Wifi is lacking which is a minus point. But other than that, the quality of education that is provided in this university is great and also the dedication of the faculty members is an add on. Also, various events and activities keep the students alive and active. So ,overall, it's a good university.
Course Curriculum Overview :
LLB is an academic course which gives students a general introduction of law. There are various opportunities after the completion of LLB as LLB graduates can get job both in State and Central government. Outstanding students can work as attorney generals, judges, public prosecutor etc. Studying this particular course in MGU helps one to equip with the knowledge and skills that one needs in an increasingly competitive market.
Placement Experience :
The results of 2017 and 2018 shows that students have been placed in ICICI Bank, GMCH, Ultratech Physiotherapy Clinic and also in MGU itself, with different designations. And the degree from MGU, Meghalaya is valid as the university is recognised from UGC (University Grant Commission), AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and DEC. Students are eligible to take courses as far as validity is concerned.
College Events :
The university helds various workshops such as - 3 days workshop on Web designing with PHP held in 2019, 1 day special lecture on Governmental Schemes of Rural Development and Use of Technology in Rural Development Schemes, decorative items making workshop to encourage students, jewellery making workshop and also freshmen day is celebrated and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees structure per semester for this course is Rs.22,000/-. As we all know, studying law is expensive as it is a very dignified course. The course duration is minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years. One find the fees structure too expensive and not being able to cope up with it financially, can opt for an educational loan.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are two types of scholarships available which are divided into category 1 and category 2. Scholarship in category 1 aims to fulfill the dreams of education for every girl and this scholarship is provided to girls only, whose family income is less than 2,50,000 p.a and the candidates will be selected through interview. Scholarship in category 2 provides scholarships to weaker sections whose family income is less than 2,50,000 p.a and will be selected through interview and written test.
Campus Life :
The students of MGU excel in extracurricular activities adding extra charm to the academic environment of the University. Extracurricular activities include sports, art, dance,music and creativity which brings out the best in a child. Every student is treated as unique in their own way and ability.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is provided by MGU to look after those students who stay far away from their homes. There is one boys' hostel and one girls' hostel. Hostel food is quite good and the hostel fees is approximately 66k per year. Laboratories and library is available though wifi facility is lacking.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network consists of the top talented and active youths from this university . This ranking is calculated by their Yrank algorithm which comprises of seven factors. The alumni strives to build a strong network with the students and shares their knowledge and experiences. Seniors students are interactive enough and are encouraging to a great extent.
Admission :
Candidates applying to the LLB course must have completed graduation from any stream, with 45% marks. Candidates who have completed 10+2 from any stream are eligible to apply for the UG and Diploma courses at MGU. Admission will be done on the basis of the scores obtained in MGU-GET and performance in personal interview. Applicants can apply for the courses in MGU either in online or offline mode.

Teachers show us the path to success or give us the key of success. All the faculty members are highly qualified and skilled in their respective fields to transfer their knowledge from them to the fellow students. They adopt various methods of learning to make the course understandable and interesting. They cooperate to the extent to bring out the best in each student.
