Remarks :

The college is good if you want a good placement and a professional environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is somewhat old but teachers and staff are well qualified (most of them) and helpful. The Thinking and approach to the curriculum is Placement based and getting a job is the main concern for everyone in the college. However I think this is a big positive for the college as that is what most of us want.

Placement Experience :

The Placements are above average for this college (if you compare it to other colleges of IPU). It is among the top ranked colleges of IPU for MCA. However as the college adminstration cares about the number of students placed more, there are certain rules that don't serve justice to students. But I've heard that most colleges have the same set of rules.

College Events :

There are many events such as the education day, Farewell (which serves as alumni meet also) aprt from those, in the engineering section, there are many hackathons conducted round the year. Also in MCA section there's full support if someone want to work on some project or hackathons etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The college fees is on the expensive side. It's 1,33,000 per year for MCA. However the fee submission process is smooth. They also provide the breakdown of the fee. Also, if you're unable to submit the fees on time, you can request the VC to give you some extra time for the submission.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I availed education loan for the course from my bank, and college was not involved. However there are many scholarships available for the students. Some of them are from Government and some are from the University.

Campus Life :

The campus life is good for a studious student. However if you're into sports and exotic campus activities, you'll be disappointed. The sports opportunities are almost zero here despite having a fairly big ground. The gender ratio is fairly neutral here. As this is a rather expensive college, most of the students are fron economically stable families

Hostel Facilities :

I didn't opted for hostel as the hostel is only available for girls. However one can opt for a PG or an apartment as they are available nearby college. The average rentals for PG are between 8000- 10000.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

There's not much interaction with the senior students from the college's side. However, you can connect them over linkedin or any other social network. They may be helpful for the placements

Admission :

I got admission thourough the IPU CET exam conducted for admission in MCA Lateral Entry. This college is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. So the entrance exams are conducted by the University. MCA course has 2 admission modes- 1. Normal with 3 years MCA. 2. Lateral Entry with 2 years of MCA.

Faculty :

They are mostly well qualified for the respective roles. However the division of subjects between the teachers is not up to the mark. Some teachers are more qualified to teach a subject but they are assigned to a different one. All in all this is an administrative thing, So full points to the teachers.

Placement Experience:

Placement starts from semester 3 and company come with different eligibility criteria. Around 20-30 companies visited and 70/120 was selected initially. But many of them got fired in contrast after training period. 60% placed in my batch. I would like to prepare for GATE exam

MCA life at Indira Gandhi National open University

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted to do a job while pursuing my MCA. So I chose this distance course and this course is valid all over the world. Certain centers are allotted for class. The faculty-student ratio was 7:1. The faculty were very well qualified and helpful in nature. The exams were timely but the level of exams is very tough, more than even regular courses.

Placement Experience:

The placements of USICT are the best among all the colleges of IPU. Every average to top student will get a good placement here. You will get an ample number of opportunities here. And the whole team of placement cells is also very cooperative. You will get internship opportunities from the second semester itself and full-time opportunities from the third semester and continue till the end of the fourth semester. The highest package is 45 LPA, and the minimum package is around 3.5 LPA. Around 90% of students have got placed. I am currently working as a software developer at Alternative Path.

GET TO KNOW ABOUT DELHI UNIVERSITY (MCA)

Placement Experience:

The students who are in their final year can apply for placements. In DU the placement percentage is more than about 75%. After getting the job I wish to join for a job and get a good salary. An average package salary is about 6,00,000 to 7,00,000 lac rupees per annum.
