Remarks :

Try to interact with 3rd or 4th year seniors they guide you in best way as compared to the 2nd yearties which are rather new and don't know much about academics placements and internship processes as I have seen this in my 4 years.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Structure is updated regularly with the focus on changing technologies and to equip students with modern technologies and research core branches include regular practical labs which are all equipped with modern facilities as the institute is well funded by central government.

Placement Experience :

As the college is a tier 1 institution of India so ut attract all the big firms from all over the world like Google microsoft Facebook this year more than 300 companies visited our campus to offer jobs to students and till now 85 percent students are placed.

College Events :

There are four college festival celebrated in our college one is our sports fests spardha which attracts participants from all the colleges across India and rhe second is our socio- cultural fest kashiyatra and third one is technical fest technex and the fourth one if film and media fest fmc weekend.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is according to your family income, there is a tuition fees of 1 lakh per semester which sums up to 2 lakh a year but if your family income is less than 1 lakh p. a you have to pay 0 rupees for tuition fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is income based tuition fee waiver scheme in all IITs i. e if your family income is less than 1 lakh you tuition fees will be waived off and if you family income is between 1 to 5 lakh you have to pay 33%. Of the tuition fee and if your family income is above 5 lakh you have toh pay the full amount of tuition fees.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio are bad in all iits but after the supernumeracy reservation for girls from the last year it is getting better year by year. The sports facilities are pretty good, our college have thouree playground one for athletics obe for cricket and football and one for ground tennis basketball volleyball and badminton.

Hostel Facilities :

There is no option of opting out of hostel facility you have to reside in hostels and the facility there is good with thouree time meals common room fitted with tv and equipped with gym facility and tt table with court for badminton.

External Expense : Rs. 2000- Rs. 4000

Alumni/Alumna :

As IIT VARANASi was set up in 1919 the college has a very vast network of alumni across the globe on renowned position at renowned mncs and institutions for ex:- nikesh arora. The seniors are helpful but try interacting with 3rd and 4th year more.

Admission :

There was a two level entrance examination iit jee mains and after clearing mains there was iit jee advanced and one have to get a good rank under 10000 to secure a seat in iit. But if you belong to reserved categories you can enjoy the benefits of reservation.

Faculty :

The faculty is a mix of some very good to average. The new faculties are recruited keeping in mind the standard of iits and the old faculties are also good keeping aside some which have given up hard work and are enjoying the benefits of their government job.

The Campus life

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is decent highest package was 30 lac per annum and average is 6-7 lac per annum....From 6th semester u are eligible for the campus placements.... companies that visited are- IBM, TCS,etc I just don't remember now there are many... percent of students getting placements are near about 80% i guess

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. Best college for developing startup skills

Remarks:

The best part of this college is that it has an incubation centre which is governed by the DST government of India to promote new innovative ideas and mould the incubator to start there startup and became an entrepreneur.

Admission:

I always want to become a mechanical engineer because innovation and technology attracts me.
