Remarks :
No, nothing as such.But in past few years, there had been problem with Salary payments of the staff. The staff was not given there salaries for almost 8 months.Many of staff got terminated. However, this matter was resolved and everything is back on track
Course Curriculum Overview :
B.tech Biotechnology course is blend of chemical engineering with bit part of mechanical engineering combined with Core BIOLOGY. First year is comman, but as you go to second year ie SE, it becomes autonomous, but remains affilated to SPPU. Exam structure is same, designed by SPPU. Focusing on labs, they are excellently equipped with modern equipments and students get good chance to hand on the labs.Yeah, schedule is hectic sometimes, but being a student, everyone is chilled in their own way.
Placement Experience :
Placements here are excellent.They have excellent Training and Placement cells. They guide you properly before appearing for interviews. Companies such as - Infosys, TCS, Accenture Microsoft etc, come for Placements The average salary, students get as fresehours is 5, 00, 000 to 6, 00, 000 per anum. Our colleges provides intership opportunities rarely
College Events :
The festival - " Sinhgad Karandak " is the biggest college festival in Pune. Total count of crowd goes upto 50, 000. Many of the students get chance to manage events in festival thourough SSC - Sinhgad Students Council. It runs 3 days followed by EDM night. World Famous artist such as " Chainsmokers, W & W, BrookeEvers " have performed in EDM night.Prize distribution for students is done by hands of celebrities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
If you belong to open category, the fees will be around 1, 00, 000. So depending on situation, it may be expensive. But referring to other curricular activities and campus life, fees are feasible. The fee will be less for students depending on the category to which they belong.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, Honestly I dont have much knowledge about this. But, banks provide loans if you want yo study in this college. So i cant provide you much of it as it could be against terms and conditions. You can Contact office, for such queries
Campus Life :
The gender ratio is 1:1.As you enter second year, the students from third year organize Freshers party in local party house.In Fisrt year, they give you induction, in which all information regarding college is provided to you. There is no discrimination based on Gender, ethinicity, race, religion or any other such factors.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, they keep coming to college and have great interaction with students.They come and share there experience of their own life, related to industry. Seniors student are very much helpful.The bond woth seniors gets more strong during festival.
Admission :
MH- CET entrance exam scores got me into this college.Only college which have Biotechnology branch in Pune University.The campus is too much big and spacious. Parking is absolutely free, as some other colleges take parking fees. Besides they also have various teams such as NSS, ROCKETERY, RACING, ART CIRCLE, DRAMA CIRCLE, Students Council etc. Placements are excellent here.Almost all eligible candidates gets placed in companies.
Faculty :
Each and every faculty is qualified with masters and many are Phd holders as well. Many of the faculty are very kneen to teach the students. They have vast experience in their respective field. They also have ocean of knowledge, which they share with students.
