Remarks :
In first year its compulsory for every fresher to take room in hostel. May be its to avoid ragging but in my opinion its all students and there parents choice either they took hostel or PG. Rest i don't have any bad remarks. About good, college is now no.1 in dehradun and having acres in area. Room is easy to get there for students. And i love my college, faculty and the time spend there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BHMCT degree is of four years. Our exams is of yearly basis. But teachers take our class test on regular interval. In 2nd year we students have to complete our 22 weeks of Industrial training in any of the 5* hotel. Our college places our interview and arrange best hotels for training.
Placement Experience :
Our college is one of the popular in dehradun. So, there is lots of job placements option we have. Some of the hotels for placement in our college is Taj, Oberoi, jaypee, Leela and Radission. Our teacher prepared us as best as they can do. They practise us for facimg interview.
College Events :
Every year in our college we celebrate Grafest, in which we make our counters and sell food prepared by own. Various celabrities like Mika, Raju shrivastav, Kumar vishwaas etc also came in our college. Apart from fun, our college yearly conduct sports tounaments, workshops and other curricular activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
In BHMCT, the fees is around 60000/year. We have to pay extra for hostel. Exam fees are excluding.At that time we have plenty of option to submit fees i.e, by cheque, demand draft, cash. Yes in the time of admission we paid around 5000 as a security. yes there is full transparency in the fee-breakdown by college. As they give receipt for every payment.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I pay all cash for the admission and the time of submission of fees. So i don't know much about loan. But yes college have many scholarship programs.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good. We daily have classes from morning 8 am till 5 pm. We have interval on 1 pm. last four days of week we have to do practicals. In our class, gender ratio is 1:8. We are hotel managment students so don't know much about robotics but grafest, sports, workshops and curricular activities were conduct by college once in a year. We also travelled to nasik for wine testing by college.
Hostel Facilities :
We lived four friends together by taking room near college and we have to pay around 6000 per month. We have 2 rooms and having bed with almirah. Bathroom is common. We also get a kitchen and balcony with room. We pay electrcity bill extra ad per the electricity meter. Landlord charged us Rs 3 per unit for electricity. We make our own food and sometimes good outside.
Alumni/Alumna :
Our seniors are very helpfull and some time we meet for get together. They always help us in studies and practical. They guide us in best of job and course as well. My one of the senior help me in projects and selecting best department. We always get invitation by college on the time of allumini meet.
Admission :
I chose BHMCT because of lot of oppertunity and scope of hotel management. Graphic Era is one of the best reputed college in dehradun. University have a huge campus and best facilties. I got admission through entrance exam and merit list. After that an interview i faced.
Faculty :
As i told you earlier we have more than 12 subjects in different year. So we have lots of faculty as well as some guest teachers from world wide too. All the teachers are well qualified and best in there field. They all have graduation and have experience in hotel Industry. Most of the faculty have past experience of teaching. 7-8 teachers is around age of between 30-35. 5-8 teachers is around above 40. And 2-5 is above 50.
