Remarks :

The college were good, with a good name throughout Karnataka the college is centrally located in the city of Bangalore (Basavanagudi) and has a though small but very good campus. The staffs are friendly and the management is also very student friendly.

Entrance Preview :

GATE score 89.91 percentile score one of the top three colleges in karnataka for post-graduation in engineering. Has a well-established teaching staffs in technical education.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Machine Design, Theory of elasticity, Theory of plasticity, Advanced Theory of Vibrations, Finite Element Method, Computer Graphics, Tribology, Mechanics of Composite Materials, Seminar Presentations and finally Thesis Work.

Internships Opportunities :

For internship, we got opportunity at CSIR-NAL, Bangalore, which is a premier central government organization and does research and development in aerospace. However, we didn't receive any stipend during our internship, but we being paid GATE scholarship.

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities for M.Tech courses was very sparse and we attended only two companies during our stay. However, the opportunities are plenty outside and we didn't find difficulty in find jobs.

College Events :

Sorry but me as M.Tech student didn't take part in such events, but the college did have a week long festival every year and smaller programs which normally is done for a day or two.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It was very feasible it costed me 1,30,000 for two years in 2006-2007 the major cost was towards hostel fee which was 50000 for first year and the college fee of 60000 for the first year and 20000 for the second.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No idea as such i had taken SBI's educational loan then from my SBI branch in my native town. This was very helpful in my studies and had also bought a PC. The fees are very reasonable in comparison to other top colleges.

Campus Life :

Good campus life the ground is very small and any bigger sports such as football or cricket be played. However, there were provisions for volleyball, indoor stadium for basket ball and badminton.

Hostel Facilities :

Very good hostel and very good mess food i am sure you won't be bored with the food i had an individual room, so had absolutely no problem in that sense and could stay as I wanted.

External Expense : Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna :

I am not part of the alumni and would really want to take part in the networking. Since my stay in the campus was very short (2 years) and a very small batch of students (16nos), i personally didn't feel the need to have a network here.

Exam Structure :

No it was not hetic we used to have course for half a day and in the afternoons it was lab where we got opportunities to develop our skills related to MTALAB coding and FEA analysis tools.

Faculty :

Very good and experienced professors take the course for M.Tech students, who have solid 20-30yrs of experience in technical education. The staff is well exposed to the industry, which makes them very good in the advanced areas of engineering that are practiced in the industries.

Experience of college life

Placement Experience:

since it was an government college the college people were least bothered regarding the placements for the students, there was no placements happening in our college.Neither any if the companies visited our college to hire the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course was interesting, industrial automation had a wide scope nowadays,syllabus was good,but in m tech most of time we work on practicals,but as this college is government college, not much focused on practical learning inside the college, No research initiative was available in this college, operational research was the elective option, All courses are good in engineering only u have to have an interest in particular subject then u will have a great future

Entrance Preview:

Took GATE in 2003 and cleared it with 84 percentile. Took admission to ME Computer science at University Vishwesharayya College of Engineering (UVCE). UVCE has a reputation of producing excellent engineers.

Placement Experience:

If you get an admission at UVCE, placement at good companies is assured as this college has a reputation of producing great engineers, by the end of 4th semester, companies will start flooding into college to recruit best talent for their companies. Entrance Preview:

I took PGCET (Post Graduation Common Entrance Test) conducted by state of karnataka, India. I got a rank of 8204 in the entrance test.I was always facinated by the concept of robotics and being an electronic engineer , it became clear where my interest lies.

Placement Experience:

Even though the placement for graduate program in engineering was good , there was no campus placement opportunities for students doing masters. There is an unsolved dilemma in this part of the world that students doing masters are more inclined to become a lecturer. So, unfortunately there was no placement opportunities for us in the campus.
