Positive feedback I would like to give because it completes course timely. Negative feedback because as I expected it is not like that.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is good for me as my choice. I'm doing bsc nautical science. I have chosen deck department. I want to become a deck officer that's why. Exam structure is divided into four parts. CAT1, CAT2, Model and end semester. CAT1,CAT2 and Model called internal exam having 40marks. End semester called external exam having 60marks.

Placement Experience :

College shows above 90% placement records. But it is not true at all. Companies fix a passing criteria for the students and also conduct own test.

College Events :

There are so many types of events celebrated here. Sports, Social, Cultural and many more.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No any scholarship is provided by the college and no any loan facility is offered. Students get their loan by own local bank.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities such as labs which are average but all types of labs facilities and equipment are available here. Workshops place is average. About sports there is no any well maintained field as well as limited play ground. Only 2 volleyball and 1 basketball ground is here. It is not sufficient as their students strength. Students come from different places different backgrounds. There is no space for the politics.

Hostel Facilities :

It is necessary for my course to live in the hostel. No other choice for this course. Hostel rooms are too small and in 1room 4students live which is very bad. I don't like this hostel.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

I have never seen AMET alumni. But on the website alumni association is designed. They may be helpful to us in future. Some seniors which belong to our society they help us.

Admission :

As my pure view I would like to say about the admission process of this college is not on merit based. It conduct a enterence exam for showing purpose only. But it also take the admission without examination. Because the purpose is full fill the intake capacity strength. I don't know why this college having intake capacity is much more than others maritime college. I had seated in it's enterence exam by paying 500 rupees. But I think, I should have saved my money.

Faculty :

All Captain teach us very well. Rest all below average.-

Life at PSGR Krishnammal

Placement Experience:

1. The campus placements starts at the second year of the college for the students. 2. We had a lot of companies that visited our college and also we went outside for off campus interviews. We attended companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Infosys, Hcl, Bosch, Payoda, Appviewx, Kanini and many other organisations like bank sectors and schools. I was placed in 4 companies and got the offer. 3. I don't remember it correctly but approximately it used to be 3-4 lpa which was the highest during my period in the college 4. We had around 80-85% of students getting placed. 5. I started studying my masters after I gratuated.

AMET the life Changer

Placement Experience:

The placement of amet is okay. In the batch of 300, almost 150 cadets are placed with world-class companies. Some companies who visited for the placement are. MAERSK LINE, BW SHIPPING, GOODWOOD SHIP MANAGEMENT, FLEET SHIP MANAGEMENT, NYK SHIP MANAGEMENT, CHEVRON, and lots more. And every cadet gets placement in that company who gives around 500USD as a stipend and after that around 3000 USD. Almost 50 to 60 percent of students get placed in amet. As I am already placed by the world no. 1 shipping company MAERSK LINE so after completing my degree I will work for that company.

No internship for undergraduate students only available for MSc students.

Placement Experience:

Last semester is the minimum eligibility for campus placements. For my department, Bharat biotechnology and zydus cadilla are the major companies. I guess 11 lacs are the highest annual package for the qualifiers. 10 percent or less got the placements. I will opt for MSc.
