Remarks :

There was a lateral entry test called Amet Cet and we should crack it. Basically, general IQ questions are asked with physics, chemistry and maths. We need 60% in PCM and 50% English in 12th standard for taking admission for this course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There were 2 continuous assessment tests in a sem and also a model exam and end semester exams will be conducted every 6 months. It's very difficult to pass in some subjects so we should hard work for it.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 350000 per year

Placement Experience :

From the first year itself, the students are eligible for the placements. The main company which take the students are Maersk shipping company, the college is having some collaboration with Maersk Line and its the world's top shipping company. Other than Maersk there are many other companies that come for placement like Chevron, Cteam, Goodwood, BWL and etc. There's no specific percentage for attending placement those who have not any arrear in any semester at the present can attend the interview. Almost 40% of the students are getting college placement. My plan after getting the degree is to get placed in a well-reputed company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

It will cost about 10.5 lakhs for completing this entire course. No scholarships and financial assistance were available for me. The job we will get is in the merchant navy and doing this nautical science course we'll be in the deck department on the ship.

Campus Life :

There are many varieties of books are available in the library and the library is well maintained and clean. In the classroom, a smartboard is available for more featured education. College is conducting sports and other extracurricular activities every year for the students. There are no social groups in the college but there are various clubs like NCC, Redcross, Band, NSS, seamanship, boat rowing, fire fighting, celestial navigation, morse code, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

My hostel is in college itself, saying about the hostel food is good but the hostel is not very good and toilets and bathrooms are very bad condition. There'll be 4 persons staying in a room and it's very congested to live inside that room. Other than bathrooms and toilets other areas are clean and hygenic.

Hostel Fee : INR 90000 per year
