Remarks

The college according the academy is good. But the campus is not as big. Extracurricular activities are not promoted as much. And the campus being in rural area has it's downsides but overall, a safe place.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is quite demanding physically, emotionally and mentally. Since it a long course of 5. 5 years, you need constant help of your peers, seniors, parents to stay on the track and believe that at the end you'll make it and it will be all worth it. There are sleepless nights, tensed days during exams. And exams go on for quite some days, around 10/15 days, which are very stressful. During such times the most helpful people are your supporting friends and parents.

Placement Experience

2

Our college does provide internship wherein we get to work in hospital under our seniors. Though there's nit much exposure in our hospital and very less opportunity to get experience first hand. Our college does not provide stipend to interns.

College Events

1.5

Annually we have one fest in our college, organised by the interns. In this fest students from all years participate, including nursing students. And at then end of two or three day programs the prices are given selected by the judges who are called from outside, excelling in their specific fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is quite expensive. We pay our tuition fees yearly for four years. And we pay half the amount of total fees in the last year for the extra six months that our curriculum requires. The students can take student loan to help pay the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm not aware about any loans or scholarship offered by our college. But I believe that in a course like ours which is very demanding financially, the college should offer some grants or scholarships for needed students.

Campus Life

2.5

Our campus is quite small and hence does not provide with much opportunity for sports. Extracurricular activities are not as much supported as academic. We do have basketball court, badminton. And our college does participate in inter - college tournaments but not as much as one sports enthusiasts would like to.

Alumni/Alumna

Our course requires a lot of help from the seniors. The seniors are quite helpful academically. They've helped a lot in terms of books to read, how to study, the way of writing exams and the reassurance needed during the finals. But the social interactions between seniors and juniors is quite less.

Admission

The course of MBBS is quite tough academically, as most of the people believe. Which is true, but what they don't know is the emotional and mental strength it also takes to be in such a long course where you're still studying and your friends who are in different course have started earning. For our admission, we give a national entrance exam from which we get a merit rank and accordingly get the colleges. The process of admission is quite long.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculty are very good in their respective fields and most of them are quite eager to teach and make sure the students understand the concept clearly. Some are very good in theory classes while others are teaching about practical knowledge.

Postings are helpful because we get to learn a lot of things and even the practical classes of pre and para clinical subjects. But keeping attendance mandatory for theory class doesent help much bcoz at the end we remember only those things which we have studied in our space and peace of mind. But attendance is very important criteria for getting eliginility for final exams

I have a great ambition to help others, so I chose mbbs. Well, I got new friends and the professors are strict but kind of OK. We can ask any doubts to them. They are all qualified professionals and the teaching method is also understandable. We have semester exams and also lab practical exams which too is difficult but kind of pass through.
