NMIMS SPPSPTM

Remarks :

Overall the experience is fair. College students, teachers and management are mostly not on the same page.

Course Curriculum Overview :

NMIMS used to follow its own syllabus which was updated according to the current scenario of the pharma industry. But, then it came under PCI to get more recognized and ended up following the PCI syllabus with an outdated portion. Keeping exams on exams. And lost its uniqueness.

Placement Experience :

Since I am in 2nd year I don't really have much insight on this subject. But NMIMS boasts a lot about its placements.

College Events :

Our college has 4 students communities ISTHMUS URRJA, KSHAMTA, EXCALIBER, n TEC. Communities are great but not very big if compared to other colleges that come under NMIMS and SVKM. Participation is fun in these events and it provides an opportunity for students to learn more.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

IT is quite a bit expensive as compared to other colleges but we have more facilities, decent labs, and equipment to work with. Clg is clean. Fees structure is provided but not clear distribution is given and most of the part is given under the title "OTHER CHARGES".

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

NO clg does not give any scholarships, I did apply for a loan under Vidhya Lakshmi scheme to government and I am. Been granted around 70% of the fees

Campus Life :

Campus life is very depressing. Clg schedule is rigorous. Management of the clg is pretty pathetic and does not have the ability to make any quick logical decisions. There are more girls than boys in class having mixed cultural belonging. Ppl are good. Their orientation does not matter.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are quite friendly and there is no ragging in our college, ppl have no time to do any useless things because of a hectic schedule.

Admission :

I opted for pharmacy coz I could not get mbbs in a government college. Gave my mht cet along with NEET. Scored 120/200 in MHT CET, I chose NMIMS SPPSPTM because I thought it was a nice institute close to my house. Applied through the Nmims website. I got selected for counselling. Choose the Mumbai campus.

Faculty :

We really had very good senior faculty in our college who are experts in their field of pharmaceutical sciences. But as soon as PCI came everyone started leaving. Which led to a shortage of really good teacher and as a result incompetent people were hired.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As my father wanted me to enter into medical field and my interest was also there so I choose pharmacy , as you understand pharmacy we learn about the medicines which we eat , their side effects and many more things . The exams takes place every month to test , whether students understand or not. And exams are difficult but most of the students ace in this exams as well as university exams too.

Students get eligible for campus selection from the third year i.e from the 6th semester onwards. Every year around 7-8 pharmaceutical companies visit our campus among them Cipla, zydus cadella, and sun pharma are major package offering companies. The minimum average package is 2 lakh/year. Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this field because I am interested in the pharmaceutical industries and Pharmaceutical field. There are about 4 to 5 teachers for 120 students in one class. All teachers have completed their M.Pharm and some of them having five and more than five years of experience and some teachers are new to the profession of teaching. Some teachers are very good at teaching but some teachers are not that well. We have to give a semester exam every eight month and each semester consists of 5 to 6 subjects and questions are pretty much hard.
