One of the Best colleges around

Remarks :

Food is so good. One can join the college with no fear of bad food. Hostel facilities are good. A good disciplined system is maintained. The campus is also maintained so well that you don't have to worry about it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The exams are pretty moderate. Notes are provided by the college. The notes provided by the college is demanded throughout the other colleges in Chennai. The course structure has less importance on research.

Placement Experience :

The placement opportunities are good. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, cognizant, IBM and Accenture came for around 3. 5 lpa package. Around 70 percent of the students were placed for the batch of 2016.

College Events :

There's not much of events celebrated in the college. But for hostel students there will be a hostel day celebrated once in a year. College events are so rare. We had an event once in four years. Dance, debate and other competitions took place.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The tuition fees is usually around 40000 per annum. But there ae other college expenditure structured for 50000. They provide books and notebooks for a subsidized amount. It takes around 20000 for test books for all the 4 years.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no such availability. Some minority students get scholarship and it is also a small amount. People can always contact any bank branch to avail any loans related to college fees. But beware of the interest they force upon

Campus Life :

There is not much importance given to the extra curricular activities. Only a small team of 10 people per batch is allowed to be played and practice. And that happens rarely. And only basketball pitch is available

Hostel Facilities :

There is food available for all the hosteller 3 times a day with snacks in the evening. Non veg is provide for 6 times a week for the hostel students. And 3 times a week for days scholars. The food is not complainable

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni meets are conducted often. Atleast yearly once they conduct alumni meet and provide food. The seniors are really helpful when it comes to seeking jib change and helps in learning any new technology.

Admission :

Counselling through Anna university. A minimum cutoff marks are required to join the college. I had a cutoff of 183 and Information Technology was the only course available to pick from the rest of the courses.

Faculty :

Teachers are qualified well enough to support students on their curriculum. But more importance on research and practicals should be encouraged. Some of the faculties were not really that qualified to teach.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
