Remarks :

Best in class campus is provided by our College. I think the best ever College with such a beautiful campus is ours in Kerala. Because when it comes to Tech fests I go to every College in Kerala from Thiruvanamthapuram to Kasargode to be exact. I have never seen a better one.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Actually it was not at all the way I expected. I thought that Engineering study was more on the practical side than the theory side. But the opposite was delivered to me by the Curriculum and Exam structure.

Placement Experience :

To be frank the placements offered by our College was on the lower side and yes internships were provided to us by the College. At our time our faculties were trying so hard to get good internships. For as a stipend to be described, actually there was no stipend at all, but we had the opportunity to study new things.

College Events :

We have a lot of events done at our College like Kapricious, Akharva, Sports day, Arts Day and so on. Kapricious was a Technical fest and Akharva was a Techno - Managerial - Cultural fest. Akharva and Kapricious were both inter- College fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Actually the fee structure is quite feasible. For me I had Fee Waiver fee scheme so I only had to pay 50, 000/- per year. So for the total four year course my total fees was 2, 00, 000/- which is the fees excluding all the events and program fees they collect at the time of their respective fests.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Such a Scholarship or loan facility was not offered by my College. I don't know whether there were such facilities available at our College. If there were a facility like that also we would have never knew about it till date.

Campus Life :

Lab time is the best time in Engineering life. Its the time were we get to use the equipments that are showed us in the text books. And to say there were no sports period for us. That was a real sad one to say. But we have a dedicated sports day of maybe 2 or 3 days.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors were not that much helpful other then lending the calculators, pens, and lab works etc like that. I think our Engineering College has the worst Alumini Association in the world. There are no meetings and then also they are collecting money from us. They say they are having an association but I never saw one in my life.

Admission :

I got admission on the basis of KEAM. And it was a childhood dream to be a Mechanical Engineer. Since the time I started reading books and handing screw drivers, my passion always was on ships. To sail the seven seas to be exact.

Faculty :

Best in class faculties to say. Actually they're not at all our faculties, they were our friends and too friends with strong relation. This made study process easy and without any drama works could be done at proper ways and at the right time.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
