Remarks :
Pros: The director of the institute is a very well known personality in pharma field.The college is a very much dedicated to generate a batch of professional with punctuality, and professional dressing and grooming quality.They also organise a tour party after educational tour in which faculties serve students at college that is the best part for me.They provide all the facilities for practical works. Cons: the examination pattern is of no worth.You tend to learn less and train more in this institute. The major drawback of this institute involves irrelevant fines and fees for like ANYTHING.They charge for being absent, for approving no dues form, for repairing water cooler, for cultural events, educational tours, for blazer, and even for gifting institute while you leave the college after graduation against your will. The principal is RUDE and unprofessional towards both the students and faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college and the university is focused on promoting professionalism in the candidates rather than motivating them for researches.I had some of the classmates who were not even aware of the subjects but still scored better marks than most of the good students.Labs, sometimes, were hectic but still it was good.
Placement Experience :
The placement is worst in this college, there were total 4 companies came for the placement drive.Those were Nestle, GSK, CIPLA, and Digiversal.Highest package was 6 lakhs per annum and average package was 2 lakhs per annum.There were opportunities of trainings not internships.
College Events :
This college is known for its cultural events.They organise an educational tour each year at attractive location PAN India.The college is active in inter-college sports competition.The college had also organised international conferences for two times till now.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Currently it is an expensive college as compared to other pharmacy colleges.Previously at the time of my admission it was a feasible kind of institute.I have also heard of heavy donations made by recent batch students for the sake of admission.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
All the eligible government scholarships and education loans were allowed to be opted at the institute.All the students with eligibility for certain government schemes and scholarships were entertained by the institute.There is a separate cell which deals with the scholarships but institute itself does not provide any kind of scholarship.
Campus Life :
The cultural events were fairly good enough till our batch left out.The annual fest includes a three day event with both indoor/ outdoor games and cultural event.Other than this event, college organises teachers day, and induction program for fresher batch.Our college is completely ragging free and the gender ratio is good enough.There were no cases and experiences of any kind of intolerance with respect to mentioned categories.
Hostel Facilities :
There were no boys hostel for college students in the institute so i have opted to reside in a rented apartment with few of my friends.It cost about 2500 per month per head.It was kind of cheap as we were 5 students living in a 2 BHK apartment.On an average it cost around 3000-3500 per month for a student for PG and hostels without mess.Average mess cost about 2000-2500 per month having two meals a day in my area.The cost of living in my area was fair as there were a lot of students at that place.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is not so strong.This is why there is a lack of placements in the institute.Our current seniors were not so interactive.Also the alumni meet occurs once in two years.And only the 4th year batch is allowed to interact with the alumni during the alumni meet.Although there is a charge taken from each student as alumni meet fees but still you are lucky if get a chance to host the alumni meet during your time of the course.
Admission :
I wanted to have a professional career and besides having a sound knowledge of biology and chemistry, researches in pharma sector facinates me.Therefore i preferred this course and the college.The admission is direct on the basis of merit list.But the reputation of the college made it much more demanding among all the private colleges in madhya pradesh
Faculty :
Previously when i joined the college, those faculties were highly qualified and experienced but with due course of time many of them left the institute because of the principal.Currently the college posses totally not experienced faculties who are not even post doc.Many of them are not satisfied with their jobs.
