Course Curriculum Overview :
The syllabus was decent and it had a perfect blend of theoretical and practical knowledge. We studied subjects like financial management, organizational behaviors, finance, marketing, etc. In our PGDM program, assignements and presentations were a regular thing. Exams were held at the of each semester and prior to each external exam, there will be an internal exam for each subject.
Placement Experience :
Training and placement cell is pretty active throughout the year. From organizing guest lectures to corporate visits, from internship assistance to placement drives they helped us till their limits. Some of the frequent recruiters include brand names like Accenture, Indiamart, Byju's, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Though the number of opportunities produced are pretty decent, the salary packages offered still have a lot of room for improvement.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
For the first year, I paid around 1,10,000 INR which included my tuition fee, examination fee, registration fee, refundable security fee, etc. For the second year, I paid a little less than 1 lakh. In total, my entire course fee was around 2.1 Lacs for the two-year course. The UIM college is allowing the students to pursue a professional course and that too at an affordable price.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Students securing merit in the UPSEE entrance exam or in graduation marks are eligible for the scholarships which include monetary gains. Students securing a rank in the first 2000 receive a sum of INR 20k in total. Students securing merit in other disciplines are awarded separately. In addition to that, students belonging to a weaker financial background are also eligible for a concession in tuition fee.
Exam Structure :
Each semester we studied 8-9 subjects. For all of these subjects, we have to give internal exams as well as external exams. Eternal exams would hold a weightage of 70% during the semester-wise evaluation. While during the final evaluation students are also evaluated on the basis of the Summer Internship Report and a dissertation that is to be submitted during the final year.
Admission :
I applied to the college on the basis of my UPSEE entrance exam scores and other academic details. UPSEE MBA cut off during my batch was somewhere around 75 %ile. A merit list is prepared on the basis of exam scores and students are granted admission on those bases. The entire admission and counseling process went pretty smoothly.
