Remarks

The way the campus came up in recent years is really amazing, providing very good feel and ambience for learning and interactions with central courtyard and old and new buildings with playfield at the back.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course BArch is of 5 years, 10 semesters. The college is affiliated to VTU, Belgam, but the customised more involving curriculum by the faculty makes the course interesting. There are studies to be done regarding vast topics which is related to human living. Model making, drawing, design, documentation, internship, study tours and related study programs makes the course interesting, though the work load on students is more compared to other courses.

Placement Experience

4

College assists in the internship application process to various firms across India. As it is a professional course, there are no placements and jobs offered in college by various companies, but it's one's responsibility to apply to desired firm to work at and go through their interview.

College Events

4

Events like open house-exhibition of works, master classes and talks by experts in the field are held throughout the year. Festivals like onam, Krishna janmashtami, etc are celebrated. Musical evenings, compititions and annual days are celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Architecture as course is expensive. Though it's feasible if one enters though CET/merit quota. Though there are comedk and management seats available for each batch. Students seeking admission from other states have to apply though comedk exam or have to opt management seat.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is scholarship and awarding of the same for students who have scored highest in the internals of each semester and they are congratulated. Also, college assists in other processes for applying to other scholarships.

Campus Life

4

There are lot of workshops conducted on various things like pottery, photography, art, etc. Also there are lot of site visits arranged to study various processes regarding the subjects and topics included in curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are not currently available in or outside the campus. Hostels aren't that much of a necessity as people most of the time stay together or stay in pg facilities nearby. There is a canteen facility available which has good veg food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is very nice and various intra-college events and competitions are conducted by the student body and various clubs like book club, poetry club, movie club, sports club, etc which keep the interaction between students active.

Admission

Architecture is a distinct professional course which is creative and immersive. This college with best faculty and their more practical leaning curriculum made me choose this college. Admission through CET karnataka merit ranking and with NATA entrance exam.

Faculty

4

They are very good and experienced both in academic and professional/practical field as they have their own practices, which rare and good for better exposure in each and every topic of the course. There are guest faculties also who come periodically to deliver lectures on various subjects.

Placement Experience:

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

Placement Experience:

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)
