Best college for MBA in Pune

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was carefully curated as per the latest industry trends. The course structure made us capable enough to stand in a competitive and robust market place. We learned a lot during my MBA program, especially about the financial budgeting and adequate resource allocation. Some additional course subjects were also part of curriculum, which was an added plus.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good but not brilliant. If you are good academically, you might survive and secure a good placement. Otherwise you have to look for a job on your own. Specialised mock interviews are held in order to boost confidence of students before the recruitment process. College invites many companies for the pool placements.

College Events :

Unify was the main annual event which was organised annually. Students from all departments take part in this event, portraying their individual talents. Cultural dance are the best during this event. Apart from this sports day, republic, day, holi celebrations are also there.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure was pretty budget friendly. I paid 80,000 annually and my total course fee was 1.6 lacs, which is pretty nominal. The college imparts a quality education at a pretty nominal rate. Scholarship options are also available for the needy students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are provided for the students belonging to the financially weak background. Some other scholarship options are also available which are prescribed by the state government. I personally don't know much about them, as I didn't avail any of these.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni were invited in order to deliver lectures on topics from their domain, in order to help understand the latest advancements in the corporate world, especially impact of technological advancements on a particular industry. These sessions were aimed at motivating students towards pursuing entrepreneurship.

Admission :

I got admission on the basis of my good academic record and CAT exam. I only prepared for 4 months for the exam. I went for the on campus counselling after I received the call. The administration was very supportive throughout the counselling process. I didn't had some of the documents required during the admission, still they gave some time for arranging them.

Faculty :

Faculty was very qualified and had relevant experience in the teaching line. Classroom sessions were mostly "a two way learning street", as one of our teachers phrased it. Faculty delivered some powerful sessions on personal development, investment and budgeting for personal growth.

Placement Experience:

There is a dedicated placement cell that looks at the placements of MBA students. The final year students sit for placements. Until now the placements are not so good but it is improving at a steady rate. Companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, Flipkart, Amazon, ICICI Bank and others come for placements. I don’t have a clear idea about the packages offered but it was around 7-8 LPA on an average.

College is a little fast paced. Each semester lasts only for 3 months where we have to study 8 subjects in addtion to assignment, presentation, class tests.Social life gets affected if you are a localite as you have to travel to powai which isn't well connected via metro and railways.

Entrance Preview:

I got admission on the bases of my undergraduate scores which was very good. Admission process of this college was good and very simple.

Placement Experience:

Companies like JP Morgan, KPMG, PWC, E&Y have come to the campus and offered 10000/- to 20000/- monthly stipend. I have attended roughly one of those. Regretfully, I cannot provide you with the details of the number of students placed and the exact amount offered because I was not a member of the placement cell. But the college had a placement cell which conducted weekly meetings and trained the students for interviews.
