Remarks :

The most positive remark about the college is it's ambiance. The atmosphere is just perfect with typical kerala climate. Good rain, fresh air, morning dew, etc. The mornings and evenings are the most beautiful times. Everybody will just fall in love with the climate. As drawback, there are some student-management issues are steaming.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Course curriculum is fixed by KTU( Kerala Technological University). It is good. There was a change in curriculum this year, which is even better. When we analyze other technological universities in South India, KTU stands above in all!

Placement Experience :

placements & job opportunities are same as any private sector college under Kerala Technological University. Overall, a tolerable report is given by pass out seniors. Mine is a comparatively newer college, with only two pass out batches. I've finished only one year and got an internship in arduino programming provided by a company registered by our senior students which was a good one.

College Events :

When we analyze as per the academic year basis, sports and games are the first event. Basketball, football, cricket, handball, etc in terms of games and other track and field events. Department wise competition is present. Then, the technical fest, named as Vibranium. The whole college will be in different mood for this event, efforts begin even before months. Technical & non-technical events be there including artistic ones. The third is arts fest. Five departments are there to compete and prove their worthiness for the overall championship. Excluding these, other special days like onam, christmas, bakrid, nss day, gandhi jayanthi and like these are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. There is a chance to meet the management, sit and discuss the fee structure, and considerations are made if necessary. Fee structure varies with change in department. Special considerations for children of ex-serviceman, sc/st etc. Are also available.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The scholarships are available as per kerela, central governments and also even by the management basis. I've got a scholarship of rs.25000 per year from management as I've completed my 10th and 12th from Technical Higher Secondary School, Perinthalmanna.

Campus Life :

Labs and sports activities are present. They are good but can't say it's that good. There are even some conflicts about the lack of labs for Safety And Fire department, but it'll be good within a few months or so. Sports facilities are good but could be a lot better with another faculty.

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are really helpful. They are very friendly and supportive. The whole ECE department is like a family with all of us working together as a team without any conflicts. Odds are seen at other departments.

Admission :

I wrote wrote and cleared kerala entrance examinations and opted for college and course using a single window system. What I did was selected the colleges near me and picked the one with more results and good faculty reviews. Then I went to the college, there was an interview, they checked my certificates and sat down to discuss the fee structure. The environment was good and infrastructure also. So I decided to spend my next 4 years in the specified college!

Faculty :

The faculty are good. Mostly pupil friendly, but even strict ones are present as a matter of fact. Overall review is good. We can see the best staff in electronics and communication department. The non-teaching staff (lab assistant, librarian etc.)are also very supportive.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
