Remarks :
Infrastructure needs to be improved should be atleast comparable to IIT Bombay. Hostels should be updated. We live 3 people in a room meant for 2. Mess food is awesome. Rest all is THE BEST( Everything Is Taken Care Of).
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite heavy during the first semester. As we have classes From 8 am to 6:30 pm. There are courses like human values, creative practices and physical education to keep the students engaged. The exam structure is descriptive in nature.
Placement Experience :
The placements here are excellent. Most of the students get placed on- campus only which is a great a thing. And there are sufficient internships provided by the institute to students of 3rd and 4th year.
College Events :
4 Mega festivals are held every year here. Kashi Yatra - Cultural fest. Spardha - Sports fest. Technex- Technical fest FMC weekend - Digital art festival. 4 Major councils have numerous clubs Working under them : Science and Technology council. Film and Media council Cultural council Social service council
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees here is very expensive as compared to other government colleges and IITs. It is around 1 Lakh for academic purposes +hostel And Rs. 12000 as mess fee per semester. Overall it costs you around 1.3 Lakhs -1.5 Lakhs per semester adding up other expenses that students have.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am a general category male student and government doesn't provide scholarship to us cause we have committed crime being born as a general student and government automatically considers us as rich. I have an ultra rich class mate who uses apple products, travels by flights and is in no need of reservation nor scholarship but is getting both. And then there are countess general students who are struggling to pay the institute fee itself and are devoid of any scholarships. All I have to say is scholarships and reservations based on caste are useless and of no good! I would rate this section 0/10.
Campus Life :
Sports of various kinds ranging from swimming to squash all are available here. Around 15-16 are regularly played here. Labs are good but need more an infrastructure update. Extracurricular activities are at their best.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure is not that good. They rooms are congested. We lived 3 in a room meant for 2. Washrooms and toilets are not hygienic. ACs are not provided and the temperature reaches above 45 degrees in summer here and the conditions get unbearable here.
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors are very helpful and cooperative. They have acquired many skills during there stay of 2+ years here and are worthy of being called 'seniors' as they pass soon the knowledge to the juniors. One thing that hits me is that smoking and alcohol intake by students is common and is a issue to be worked out.
Admission :
I had applied for JEE - MAINS 2019 in 2018 by paying a sum of Rs.900 for January attempt and Rs. 500 for April attempt. Then by clearing the cutoff percentile in JEE-MAINS 2019 I got qualified to write JEE-ADVANCED 2019 in May. I filled out the application form for JEE ADVANCED 2019 by paying a sum of Rs.2600. Then I wrote JEE-ADVANCED 2019 on 27th May 2019 and the results were announced for JEE ADVANCED 2019 on June 14th 2019. Then I applied for JOSAA counseling and gave my preference list of NIT/IIT/IIIT/GFTI. There were 7 rounds of counseling and I had reported to IIT Bombay as a part of formal process after round 1. And after all the rounds were over I reported to IIT BHU as I had been allotted Pharmaceutical engineering program here. Then I submitted the college fees as I came here.
Faculty :
The faculties here mostly leave the course(syllabus) unfinished at the end of the semester so students have to study on there own. The teaching methods vary professor to professor : some teach on the traditional black board , while some teach the content on projectors installed in lecture theatre.
