Remarks :

The library, I think it's well maintained and developed. It has almost every books related to the academics. The Environment and atmosphere around the library is very good. You feel calm and relaxed when sitting in the library.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was good. Since it was APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, the syllabus was new and latest. Advanced subjects like big data, Machine Learning were there in the syllabus. But the practical exam was not up to the mark. Since it was contacted and examined by the college itself.

Placement Experience :

Yes they do. Actually the placement cell is good. Not outstanding. There are some good companies como for placement drives every year. I got placed in one of those drive conducted by Infosys and they also provided the internship.

College Events :

There are lots of events celebrated there. Almost every events and days will be celebrated by students. And the faculty is supportive. There will be a tech fest and cultural fest celebrated in every intermediate years.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's feasible. Actually they provide a wide range of MTech courses for cheap fee. I think the fee structure is less compared to the competing colleges. There are no other extra charging for any other facilities as far as I know.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't got any scholarships while I was there. I think you can apply for the scholarships sponsored by the state and central governments like Post metrics scholarships, Sc/ST scholarships. And they provide students exchange program s

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities are good there. Labs are well maintained and protected. Actually they have NBA certification. About sports and other activities, when I was there we were the inter college champions for cricket volleyball and badminton.

Alumni/Alumna :

I don't know more about the alumni network. The senior students are good. They are supportive. There is no ragging there. The seniors and juniors are maintaining a friendly atmosphere there. When there is a problem everyone stand as one.

Admission :

By Entrance Exam. It was contacted by the state government. And then a management level entrance exam was also talking place. We can easily pass the exam if we are from a computer science background.

Faculty :

The faculty and staff are doing good. Actually the head of the department is an awesome one. He has really good academic knowledge and he helped us to do a good final year project. All the other facilities are also supportive.

Nirmala College Muvattupuzha - A Good Campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed MCA at Nirmala College due to several reasons: • It is a course which is open to anyone who has passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and above. The only prerequisite is that one need to attend the annual LBS MCA entrance examination to secure admission to this course. • The syllabus of MCA in this college is affiliated with that of MG University, Kottayam. It is a vast syllabus covering various applications of computer science including programming in various languages such as C, Java, PHP, Python, data structures, algorithms, statistics, data mining, machine learning, software engineering, networking, etc. • The course is theoretically good but practically it doesn't really equip all students with enough knowledge and understanding to be placed in a good IT company. Some portions could be excluded from various theory subjects such as Networking with TCp/Ip and Algorithms Analysis.
