Sector specific management degree

Remarks :

As the college is specialising in energy and petroleum the upskilling and software knowledge should be included in the curriculum. The college has recently added few more programmes apart from the Energy and Petroleum management to expand its capability.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is really good, however the industry interactions need to be more often along with the live-projects. The internship opportunities are also really good, as it helps you understand the business side of the industry.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, mostly the internships are in the PSUs, wherein the stipend possibility is really bleak. however, the exposure in such companies, and the projects are a good learning experience. The college also encourages students to go for private internship programmes.

Placement Experience :

As the college has been backed by the MoPNG and PSUs, primarily the companies visiting the college are public sectors, however various private companies have also visited like Glencore, tech Mahindra etc.

College Events :

Oil Spring, a management fest which was attended by the top-MPA college of the country. Besides, the students get regularly involved in other management tests as well. Since the college has been shifted to its base camp, there must be increase in events and other activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is quite feasible, including the hostel charges and other expenses as well. When I passed out the fee structure (overall) was 6 lacs for the programme. Since the college was temporarily stationed in NOIDA, based on the city expense structure, the fees was feasible.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are certain scholarship and loan facility applicable to the joining students. However, the fee structure does claim to waive off 50% of the tuition fees for the students belonging to SC/ST/PH category.

Campus Life :

As the MBA programme has been shifted to the base i.e. Rae Bareily, Jais. The campus does offer labs and sports activities etc. The campus has been stretched to instil such activities. They have recently come with multiple events and conference ideas. They have started the Think tank collaboration for publishing activities as well.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel infrastructure was not conventional, but it was accommodating. However since the campus has been shifted to Jais, the hostel facilities provided are really good. Kindly refer the college brochure for additional details.

Alumni/Alumna :

Recently, the frequent connections have been made with the alumnus, and its effectiveness could be seen in the coming years. Although many of the senior students have been placed in best in the business companies.

Exam Structure :

In each semester there are three sessionals in addition to the semester exam. The best of two scores are included in the final calculations. As the course is of 18 months, the semesters have been numbered as six.

Admission :

Based on the CAT exam percentile, they shortlist for the interview. Please note for the said programme they have selectiveness for Engineering graduates. After the interview they come up with the merit list for the necessary admission proceedings.

Faculty :

The in-house faculties are good, however the guest faculties are really at par. Especially the finance guest lecturers. The in-house faculties have a reputable background with sound industry knowledge.

By clearing the entrance exam of LU. You can also take direct admission here but I have given the entrance exam then I choose this college. Because the overall results of this college are excellent. One of my friends suggested me this college as she was the alumni of the college. The placement record was also very good. These are some of the factors.

Remarks:

Everything is positive except infrastructure. In terms of infrastructure our college doesn't stand before other colleges because we believe in quality education not infrastructure. But our whole college is run by solar electricity.
