Remarks :

As I said earlier I got overall average review about my college. Recently our college was certified by ISO. But I think that doesn't make any difference. I completed my course in August but still they didn't give back my caution deposit

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of KTU is very bad. They just copy paste everything in the curriculum from other universities. The syllabus is still out dated and the workload is not bearable to the students. The most floppy thing is the university exams. Answer booklet contains 30 pages and no additional sheets. They provide lined pages for engineering drawing exams. Valuation is utter flopp

Placement Experience :

this is the question that worries students of my college. For my course the number of students got placed into core companies is absolutely zero. The companies come to my college are just startups in the field of information technology

College Events :

Celebrations are those ones which made us smile and enjoy our college life. There are many programs arranged in the campus by college union 1. College union inauguration 2. Arts club inauguration 3. Sports( athletics) 4. Tech fest 5. Motor show conducted by my department 6. Arts day 7. Games 8. Holi celebration 9. Onam celebration

Fee Structure And Facilities :

I got allotted to government management seat so my annual tuition fee was 65000. If yoy got allotted to government merit seat tuition fee was 35000. Along with other charges you should pay 70000 per year for government management seat. And I think its not feasible for a middle class family

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College didn't offer any loan facilities. Even though I figured out something on my own with an interest rate of 13 % annually. Vollege didn't provide any scholarships. But there were many provided by central and state governments

Campus Life :

Our college formerly was a scooter factory. So mechanical labs are great. Students from other colleges came to my college to do lab works. When talk about sports, we got cricket,football and volleyball teams. But there were no coaches or grounds to practice.

Alumni/Alumna :

It's an absolute shame to say that there is an alumni network is there in my college. It just cornered with a filled form done by the final year students during the due payments. And alumni association is dead.

Admission :

Attended KEAM 2015 engineering entrance exam and normalised entrance marks along with plustwo PCM(physics, chemistry, mathematics) marks to get a rank and I got 33411th rank in keam 2015. Then I applied for online allotment process with this rank. And I got allotted to government management seat

Faculty :

They are average. Most of the faculty are inexperienced. University ruled in a law states that the head of the department should have doctorate. So they have some knowledge. And some senior faculties are very helpful.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
