Remarks :
The attendence criteria is very strict in Sinhgad institutes. The placements and internship activities are very poor for non IT students. The location of college is somewhat in village area. Food in mess is the biggest problem here though the canteen food is somewhat ok.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Sinhgad academy of engineering was under savitribai phule pune university. The exams happened twice in a semester, online and theory for first two years of engineering and for last two years both were theory papers. It follows cgpa method as marking system.
Placement Experience :
The placements for IT and Computer is very good, most of the students got placed from campus. But on the other hand placements are very poor for other branches like mechanical and civil, only few students got placed from campus. They had provided internships for the students on the basis of merit. Only 10 to 12 students got internships in mechanical branch.
College Events :
SAE conducts events like karandak which includes sports, music, technical events and concert. Each department has their own groups who conducts events but they are out of funds, which they collects from students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees for engineering in SAE is about 90 thousand each year for general category. For OBC it is about 45 thousand and in thousands for SC and ST. The fee structure is similar in many private colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The sclorships provided for general category student was on EBC for which total family income should be less than 8 lakhs. For the students from other category they would get a sclorship based on their cast.
Campus Life :
The engineering campus of SAE kondhwa has only one ground for volleyball on which other sports like criket and kabaddi were played. It also has a basketball court in SIBAR which is a MBA college in same campus only.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes. I was in college hostel. Hostels are good but food is very bad. In each room 4 students also seperate hostels for girls and boys in campus only. For boys one hostel is almost 3 km away from campus.
Alumni/Alumna :
The mechanical engineering students of SAE were into BAJA, SUPRA and electric GO CART in which they had won many awards. Some students had research papers published on their name. The seniors doesnt trouble nor interact with juniors.
Admission :
I got admission in SAE kondhwa through JEE examination. At that time combine marks of HSC and JEE were taken into consideration. I got admission in first cap round. At that time cutoff was high which has dropped down. They gave a admission form to fill and we had to submit documents. Payment of fees was done in few days.
Faculty :
The faculty who are experienced are somewhat good. Some professors are supportive if you want to do something like projects and publish papers. Most of the faculty is new, they don't have much or no experience
