The curriculum followed was attached to the university of Madras, as a part of one of the last batches prior to moving into the anna univ curriculum. The first year has a common engg curriculum which divulges to specialization from year 2.

None. Bharath had not embarked on the internship bandwagon at that point in time.

A dedicated placement cell is very active.

Campus houses almost all sports and has an annual sporting event apart from the annual carnival and the symposiums that happen at a dept. level. The hostels have separate sporting and cultural events on an annual basis.

Fee structure at that point was different at Rs.20000 a year for college and an additional Rs.35000 for the hostel. The fees are definitely differ these days.

College provides all scholarship in association with the govt of TN. college also has MOU's with various banks for easy loan facilities.

Hostel blocks for men and women are at different locations. The mens hostel was a block 2 kms from the college and housed playgrounds and recreational activities in house. The food , as goes with any mess , though good, always get criticized. I miss the h

Alumni network is very active with annual gatherings apart from batch reunions and industry engagements through alumni. The annual day function also has a huge alumni participation.

Exams are based on the curriculum attached. The structure was semester based one with internal exams on a monthly basis.

Mechanical engg at Bharath was one of the best in the city and a very competetive one in the state of TN. The faculty was very hands on and focussed on practical knowledge being imparted. However, discipline was the top priority of this department.
