Vit vellore

Remarks :

The times are really bad. They are different for boys and girls. Girls have an in time of 7 pm. Boys have 8:30. There are also red tag annas keeping a watch on couples and making sure no one is seen showing PDA.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There is a fully flexible credit system. Choose your own teachers and subjects every semester. Very hard to get good teachers during ffcs as they go out faster than redmi phones. You literally have to book teachers and the slots. The timetables often get spread out and a lot of time is wasted between classes.

Placement Experience :

Placements in the cs and it branches are excellent, even for ece and all they are really good. But for mechanical and civil. It is very hard to land a job in a core company. But most students are placed into IT companies. I don't know much about the internships.

College Events :

Gravitas and Riviera are the two events that are celebrated. Gravitas is more of a technical fest while riviera is the more fun fest. Both are huge and get a lot of celebrities and personalities. I personally like riviera more as it is more fun.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is expensive. If you get admission through a bigger category it is even more expensive. Higher the category higher the fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

They have tie-ups with quite a few foreign universities and schools. They take you there for foreign exchange programs. Top rankers of branches also get cash rewards I don't know much about the loan facilities.

Campus Life :

They have almost every activity you can imagine but you have to be persistent and not give up. It is not that easily accessible. You have to register for everything and pay for a lot of sports. The labs are air-conditioned mostly and are usually in good shape with powerful computers.

Alumni/Alumna :

A lot of senior students are in the same class as you due to ffcs. It depends on whether they chose the same subject as you. Seniors are usually helpful. They tell you about what is going on in the college as there is a lot to figure out on your own.

Admission :

I gave the VITEEE exam. You can go for counseling for the Vellore campus if you are under 1 lakh rank. There are many categories under which you can take admission. Higher the category higher the fees. Through the category system, bad rankers can also take admission by paying more money.

Faculty :

Some faculties are extremely good and know the subject to the core but some faculties are unnecessarily strict and don't even have the required knowledge. You can see all sorts of faculties. Good to bad. Bad to worse.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
