Remarks :

The campus provides a vibrant environment with the best in industry facilities to the students. The campus is filled with trees and gives a close to nature like atmosphere. The campus is far away from the city so it provides a calm environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is a bit hectic but it incorporates all the elements that are needed for a engineering graduate. In the first year all students have the same subjects and then later from second year we have department subjects. A year has 2 semester and each semester has to exams.

Placement Experience :

The placements are good and the college makes good effort for the placement of the students. I am in first year and cannot give a detailed analysis but from the experiences of the seniors it looks like all the efforts are made.

College Events :

KSHITIJ is the technical event spring fest is the cultural event and then many more events take place throughout the year that range like Inter IIT sports , Department sports , faculty vs student events and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure has gotten expensive in the recent years. In the beginning the fees was a mere 80000 per year and know it has risen to around 250000 per year and this fee structure makes it expensive but it is moderate as compared to other colleges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

They are various scholarships facilities that are provided on the basis of merit or by reservation also. The pamphlet regarding the scholarship details are given in the campus website and we can refer over there.

Campus Life :

They are excellent. The facilities are provided at a very good level and all things are provided. Labs are well equipped and sports facilities are in ample amount with the best coaches to provide the guidance.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is extremely well established with the alumni's taking good participation in the college events and also they provide funds to develop the college and it's infrastructure. The seniors can be a bit tough but overall help the juniors.

Admission :

I had to write the JEE MAIN and then the top 1.5 lakh write the JEE ADVANCED and then people who clear min cutoff are eligible to get admission into the IIT. On the basis of my JEE advanced rank I got admission into IIT KHARAGPUR.

Faculty :

Some of the faculty members are good.The faculty members that are good are extremely educated as most of them are pursuing research and hence have extensive knowledge on the subject they are teaching.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
