Remarks :
Mount Seena College is located in the outskirts of the city. Its about 1.5 km away from the State Highway. Students face difficulties to reach college as there is no regular public transportation from the highway to the college. Auto-rickshaws are depended to reach college from the highway or else students have to walk for 15 minutes to reach the college. Those students who have their own vehicles need not to worry. Other than this, Mount Seena College is one of the best private college in the district.
Course Curriculum Overview :
B.Com is a traditional course. But doing under Calicut University will be not so good. There are 6 semesters with around 30 papers including an optional subject and a project. The exams will never be on time. You may expect the exam anytime, no matter whether it is a vacation.
Placement Experience :
Our college doesn't provide any placements or any internships. But they provide additional courses for Commerce students through which the students can gain additional skills and knowledge in the commerce field.
College Events :
Our college conducts Eid Celebrations, Onam festival, College Union Day, Sports Day, Talent Show, Association Day, Annual Day etc. Other than these events we also celebrate New Year and other important days. The College Union is responsible for contacting the events in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is very reasonable and affordable. The aim of college management is to provide education to the students of backward and minority communities. This college is definitely not expensive.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships are provided by the government and other communities. Students can apply for scholarship from college itself. If they apply for scholarship once, then students can renew the scholarship every year.
Campus Life :
Mount Seena College have modern labs, library with a large collection of books, fitness room and large football ground. Sports like football, cricket, volleyball, tug of war, weight lifting etc. are trained in the college. Labs include computer lab and a physics lab.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni meetings are organised in the college. Seniors are very much helpful. There is anti ragging policy in Mount Seena College. The junior - senior relationship is very much healthy. Senior students also take the responsibility to maintain discipline in the college.
Admission :
I got admission through Calicut University Centralised Admission Procedure. I got allotted in trail allotment itself. If you don't have enough mark in 12th and you weren't able to make it through merit list, then you can also apply for management seat.
Faculty :
Our college got well experienced faculties. The Principal of our college itself have over 40 years of experience. There are 3 main departments in our college, ie; Commerce Department, Science Department, and English Department. Commerce and business management department is the core of our college. Other than these three departments we have Physical Education Department, Journalism Department, Arabic Department etc.
