Remarks :
I love my College. I am thankful to all the things I have learned from my institute and I will give as much support whenever they need. Superb Faculties and Such atmosphere gives us a chance to think and Make our Career there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical engineering needs both theory and practical exposure of subjects for which our College had various Labs where we have seen practical implementations. Evaluation was of 150 Marks. Internals - 30 Marks Mid Sem and 20 Internal marking. External- 70 marks exam by GTU and 30 marks by external examiner in Viva.
Placement Experience :
The Placements are not that much compared to other private giants but not bad as well as one can easily get a decent paying job if he/she wants to work with no experience. One thing I would like to say is that Some State PSU came to only our College because of Academic record our seniors settled. I was lucky one to grab a job out of that Campus and I am extremely thankful to all faculties for this Job.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The Fees were around 3500 /- including Exam fees which is Very feasible according to me. Also Various Scholarships and Yojanas based on Merit and Categories were given in which financial aids in terms of money and Technical aid by Giving tablets to First year students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
MYSY (Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlambam Yojana) is Scheme where a student who has scored more than 80 percent in HSC will get Half of College and Hostel Fees along with Library and Stationary fund. I used to live in Centre of City in our community Boarding where fees were 25K and I got 12.5K + 5K = 17.5K annually as scholarship which helped me a lot during my Study.
Campus Life :
Our Institute was Very balanced in terms of Academic and Extracurricular activities as Quiz competition and Sports weeks, Tournament were organised without miss every year and as Participation gives Points and that points were collected. 100 such points were compulsory in GTU to get your Degree which makes it even more interesting and encouraging.
Alumni/Alumna :
Our Institute was established in 2009. Very Few years have passed thereafter so our Network of alumini's is not that wide and big. But that small group always attends important function and actively supports in Placement related activities and motivating juniors for such behaviour in future towards College.
Admission :
After Giving the HSC Exam in GSHSEB (State Board) A merit List was released which was on the Basis of HSC marks and JEE Scores. A five round process of allotment of seats to students based on above criteria started in which I got admission in GEC Rajkot at first attempt. Being Native to Saurastra and such prestigious college I confirmed the Admission by paying the fees.
Faculty :
Our College has a Bridge Course program for students of First year to get familiarised with college faculties and college life. From that Course to Placement day, the support from our Faculties has been solid as rock. From Personal life to Professional guidance and job related lessons they are always there for us.
