Remarks :

JNU always encourages knowledge to be flourished even in the darkest time. The professors are the ones who support their students completely in any kind of distress. It is an amazing experience altogether for someone being a part of JNU.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is one of the most creative courses designed for students who want to study liberal arts. Here one gets an opportunity to think innovatively and shares perspectives with fellow professors and mates. After making the MCQ pattern, it has become quite redundant for the students as well as the professors. If a student wants to pursue a PhD it is ridiculous to write MCQ examination because one's research abilities can't be judged on the set of basic questions.

Placement Experience :

JNU conducts its own placement with the help of professors and students. There is a placement cell that regularly sends important information about internships and job opening to the students. The placement cell organizers help the students in guiding as well. They conduct a mock interview session for the students and offer them a window of improvement. It is the constant help of the professors that make our journey completely delightful.

College Events :

Unlike other famous colleges and universities, JNU never celebrates cultural fest in the university premise. Every year, the student body organizes cultural night for different states. Malayali, Bengali, Oriya, Punjabi, Bihari, Rajasthani and northeast cultural festivals are organized. Due to the vibrant student culture in the university premise, it is an absolute pleasure to meet people from different cultural, social, political and economic backgrounds. Apart from these cultural fests, every year JNU organizes international food festivals for foreign exchange students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As it is a central university, one needs to pay Rs. 110 for admission each semester. along with other fees like mess bills, development fees, and others. At the time of admission, we had to submit a demand draft of Rs. 250 in favor of JNU and apart from that other charges as mentioned in the prospectus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In my masters, I did not apply for any scholarship. There is a provision of MCM scholarship for all those students who belong to economically backward sections. In the M.phil and Ph.D. days, the students get a meager amount of Rs. 5000 and Rs.8000 respectively for continuing research.

Campus Life :

It is one of the safest campuses in India. In Delhi, JNU appears to be a utopian world for newcomers. Even at 3 am, a woman can walk freely across campus without being harassed. This safe culture has been practiced by everyone for making university space completely accessible. There is a GSCASH body where the students and teacher representatives conduct workshops on gender equality and sexual violence. The professors make these clear through workshops.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are subsidized for the students and it has been allotted on merit basis. If your rank is first then you will be getting your hostel at first. Every month one has to pay an amount of Rs. 2500-3000 for mess bill. Unlike other private college hostels, JNU hostels will bring hopelessness only. Due to bad water service, you will not get 24*7 water. The food quality is good at some hostels. In winter, the students will not get warm water. In spite of such drawbacks, one loves to be there for its vibrant culture.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network has been a constant support for the students whenever the campus is in distress. The alumni include eminent individuals across the profession.

Admission :

I appeared for the admission test for my master's in Arts and Aesthetics. While pursuing my graduation, I came to know about this course where one gets creative freedom. It is one of the best decisions of my life to appear for this examination. When I wrote my examination that time it was completely subjective now it has become MCQ types. The questionnaire consists of different sections like film, theatre, and visual arts. The examination happens in the month of December. The admission process starts in the month of July. The academic year of JNU starts from 20th July onwards.

Faculty :

The faculty of SAA (School of Arts and Aesthetics) has always been considered the most outspoken one in JNU. They always express their political views upfront. For them, the students are the tools that raise voices for any kind of injustice in society. It is their indomitable support that makes us the best person possible for society.

Remarks:

We didn't go to college. We had regional centres where IGNOU conducted their classes according to courses. We got online assignments, and we had to submit it to our regional centres. Classrooms were good in regional centres, but it depends on your regional centre.

Placement Experience:

We didn't get placed in our course. Although, campus placement cell conducts various campus placement drives, recruitment drives, job fairs and employability enhancement activities throughout the year at the headquarters, regional centres, study centres and company.

Entrance Preview:

I didn't pass entrance exam,it was interview. For foreigners there is no any entrance exam. But the procedure of interview and the following structure is so difficult to pass out from the procedure . For indian students there is an entrance exam which you should ask from the indian student of lamia itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is more than 6 months source work which according to me it was somehow beneficial but one of the subject was not related to our exact field . There should be more concentration on the course choices , and it is happening in all universities there .
