Thapar University is a well-established university in the state of Punjab. It has witnessed a hike in the placement statistics over the past few years and the scenario is expected to improve more so. Well-reputed firms like Deeshaw, Microsoft, Deloitte, ZS Associates, and Freescale visit the campus for placements and offer good packages to its students.

As you already know Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is a reputed institution and even older than IITs. It has built trust with its quality education and curriculum as per the industry needs. And it's very obvious when students do well, recruiters visit the campus very often.

The placement scenario at Thapar is quite good and the students get a good career opportunity as per their capabilities.
If you are one who is dedicated and hardworking then you can be placed at an awesome package. This year the highest placement for CSE was 45 LPA.
But it is mostly who join their 2+2 course i.e first 2 years in Thapar and last 2 years in Trinity College.
Thapar takes 500 students each year for the CSE branch. So, you will have to be among the top 20 to get a good package.

If you are planning to pursue a degree from Thapar Institute you need to worry about placement. If you do your bit, Thapar Institute and placement cell will support you for sure. The placement cell has placed many of its alumni who are working at good salary packages in good and well-known companies like Deloitte, Infosys, IBM, J.P. Morgan, Maruti Suzuki, etc, .
