Questions Asked On IPU, New Delhi

How good is an MBA from IP university New Delhi?

HV
Harsh Verma Posted On : January 7th, 2022
studied at University of Delhi (2019)

According to the reviews online, the majority of the students said it is not a good option to pursue MBA from IP University, Delhi.

Here are some reasons why:

  • More focus is given on theoretical preparation than the practicals. Students often complain about the incomplete training.
  • If you wish to learn about your course, it will not provide you with the satisfaction. Because mostly students tend to mug up last year’s questions and answer books.
  • Scoring is easy even if you study only 2-4 days before the exam.
  • The same 10-15 questions are repeated every year.
  • If you want to build yourself, you mostly have to do it all on your own, because the college won't make much effort.
  • Placements here are average. Only the top 10 students are usually given access to sit for the placements.

Therefore a lot of students do not get the proper opportunities to get a job. If you are willing to work on your own and are confident enough, then only opt for IP University, Delhi.

Collecting transcripts from IP University can be difficult. You may need to wait for months and visit the main campus often to get the transcripts. But there are a few third parties that can help you get your transcripts in exchange for a reasonable amount. There’s a shop named NV Documentation opposite the university. You can contact them for getting your transcripts delivered.

Delhi University Vs Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Which one is better? Also comparing the standards of the crowd in these Universities.

It’s normal for you to get confused between DU and IPU. Both are well-reputed universities with high cutoffs. Choosing one of them can be made easy if you go through these differences:

  1. Colleges: DU colleges are famous for their high cutoffs. If you have scored 97 and above you will surely get admission to an A-grade college. But anything below 97 (even a 95) will send you to a B-grade college. So it’s better to study in an A-grade college at IPU than in a B-grade college of DU.

  2. Admission criteria: At DU, admissions are based on board exams, whereas at IPU you will have to give a CET (Common Entrance Test).

  3. Internships: All the universities recommend internships but IPU has made it compulsory. These internships not only build your CV but might also give you full-time jobs.

  4. Freelancing: At IPU most students prefer freelancing or part-time jobs to support their profession. The classes end early around 1 pm. Whereas in DU the timings of the classes vary a lot due to which you cannot spare time for freelancing much.

  5. Fees: Pursuing a professional course at IPU will cost you more than that at DU. This is because of its excellent infrastructure and facilities.

  6. Specialisation: DU is well known for its theoretical subjects like English, History, and Geography. Whereas IPU specializes in vocational courses like B. Tech, Journalism and Mass Communication, BBA, BCA, and MBA.

These points stand to prove that IPU is a better option if you are pursuing a professional course.

Why is IP University considered the worst engineering college in India?

SS
Shiksha Sharma Posted On : January 7th, 2022
studied at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2015)

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is an average rated university. Here’s  discussing every aspect of the university.

  • They have a separate quota for Delhi students, which makes it more competitive.
  • The good thing about GGSIPU is that their colleges offer courses at a very reasonable fee.
  • It is much less than private colleges in India like Manipal University (Jaipur) and UPES Dehradun, etc.
  • The placements here are average. Most of the students are selected in the mass recruitment held by companies like Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc.
  • They offer an average salary package of 5-6 LPA.
  • The faculty here is not at all cooperative and helpful.
  • The college has a rule to maintain a 75% attendance to be able to sit for the exams.

Therefore it is suggested that you try for colleges like DTU for the unpopular streams. But if you wish to opt for courses like CSE, IT or ECE, it is better to drop a year and prepare yourself for the exam next year.

Is YMCA or Kurukshetra University better than IPU?

ST
Sheetal Thakur Posted On : October 22nd, 2021
Studied M.Tech from IIT Delhi

One of my friends studied at YMCA while my sister studied at IPU. I can share their experiences and let's see who won:

  • YMCA receives a lot of good companies each year.
  • IPU receives IT firms most often with a package of INR 3.25 LPA. The only highlight of IPU is Microsoft.
  • As a CS or IT, you will find it to your liking. In YMCA Amazon, Maruti, Adobe, Snapdeal, Yamaha, and many more reputed companies come to hire B.Tech graduates.

Placement is what matters to most, however, it's not the only parameter of comparison but because YMCA tops in placements which is an essential factor nevertheless, it wins!
