Other than that Heritage Institute of Technology is a good college. If you have no problem with the above-mentioned things then it is a very good choice otherwise it may not look so attractive to you.
Without a doubt, IIEST Shibpur is the definite better choice among the two institutes for Civil Engineering and is indeed one of the best Civil Engineering departments in the country. My friends who study at IIEST Shibpur boast about their college, that it is great in so many ways.
The points below state some reasons as to why -

Civil engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar is better than chemical engineering from BITS Hyderabad. As a student from IIT Bhubaneswar, I can vouch for the institution.

The Bachelor’s in Technology Program at Jain University has been ranked at No. 7 in Bangalore by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). The B.Tech Program at Jain University with a specialization in Civil Engineering builds a strong foundation and offers to learn at an individual pace. It is an Eight Semester Program taught on campus, offering various career opportunities in India and Abroad.

In order to study for the B.Tech Program at Jain University, the candidate must have completed their studies till the 12th standard and must have passed along with their compulsory subjects as Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics with an aggregate of 60% in all the subjects mentioned.
Along with passing 12th grade, the candidate is required to give the entrance exam of JET to be eligible for admission at Jain University B.Tech (Civil Engineering) Program.
Placement:
The civil engineering branch at Jain University offers placement opportunities in various sectors, be it public or private, among Geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, hydraulic, environmental engineering, transportation engineering, or infrastructural engineering.
According to the placement statistics of 2019, 94.9 % of the batch was recruited.
The highest salary package announced at Jain University ranges around 30 LPA. Whereas, the average salary package offered is around 7 LPA.
Jain University also offers add-on programs in CADD using CYPE, STAADPRO, RIVET with BTech Civil Engineering. Students are also given the opportunity to do soft-skill development programs in certification as Fire Safety Building Technologist.
If you are a Civil student, my advice to you would be to prepare for the GATE exam once you are done with your degree. The placement is quite low for core companies. Many students also follow the same.
Chemical students are known to focus on jobs and have a good placement in analytics and software-based companies. Many of the top ones also land core jobs.
My suggestion would be to check the syllabus and pick the subject you like. You will realize which subject has good scope and what does not. As far as Civil is concerned, most students land jobs at L&T. But, they will make you work a lot and you will not be satisfied with the pay. This is not the case with Chemical engineering.

Some of my friends studied at MNNIT, so I might be able to answer your question. It is suggested that you choose Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad rather than Civil at NIT Trichy.
Your branch of choice is more important than your college preference. In terms of opportunities, Mechanical Engineering has a slight advantage over Civil Engineering
Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad has a consistent placement record. Mechanical students receive more job offers than Civil Engineering graduates. PSUs often choose Mechanical Engineering graduates.
Categories | Civil at NIT Trichy | Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad |
Course Fee | 5.65 lakh | 6.55 lakh |
Highest CTC | 22 LPA | 18-20 LPA |
Average CTC | 9 LPA | 8-10 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | IOCL, BHEL, Honeywell, Aricent, etc. | Aditya Birla, Info Edge, Phillips, Reliance, etc. |
Finally, everything depends on your interest and choice. So think wisely and then make any decision, because this will be the building blocks of your career.
Both IGDTUW Delhi and PEC Chandigarh are reputed colleges and are equally good but both these courses are very different from each other.
If you are interested in higher studies and want to do M.Tech or Ph.D., then only opt for PEC civil. The pressure for studies would be less. You also have no restrictions in doing extracurricular activities. Here you can focus on other things besides studies, like on your hobbies or learning and developing a new skill or a new language which can be helpful in your career.
Here’s a brief overview of the courses mentioned in the question.

Hope this answer clears some of your doubts.
NIT Trichy is one of the top 10 institutions in India for Engineering, NIT Patna makes it to the 56th position in the NIRF Rankings 2023 for Engineering.
Despite this, I would suggest you go for CSE from NIT Patna. Out of my experience of meeting different people, I would suggest you choose a better course over a better institution. CSE is in demand these days, while Civil might not be a good choice placement-wise.
A friend of mine pursued his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a top NIT. He did not land a decent job. After that, he cracked GATE and went for his M.Tech in Civil Engineering from DTU. Even after his M.Tech, he landed a package of INR 5.5 LPA.
Civil Engineers from IIT Guwahati in my friend circle started preparing for UPSC because of not getting a job.
I believe that a course tag is permanent unless you switch your stream during your Masters. Therefore, I would suggest you take CSE from NIT Patna instead of Civil from NIT Trichy.
Both Haldia Institute of Technology and JUET Guna are quite similar in terms of the infrastructure they offer, curriculum, and quality of teaching. If you have to pick the best out of two, HIT Haldia weighs slightly more than JUET-Guna.
Following are the few points to back the preference of HIT Haldia:
Categories | Civil at HIT Haldia | Civil at JUET Guna |
Course Fee | 3.95 lakhs | 7.28 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 15 LPA | 12 LPA |
Average CTC | 7-8 LPA | 7-8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Ambuja Cement, IOCL, L&T, Simplex, etc. | Aricent, L&T, SAP, JK Lakshmi Cement, etc. |
These are a few perks of choosing Haldia institute of technology over JUET Guna. But in the end, it's your preference, so opt for the best for yourself.
