A close of mine is currently pursuing an MD in Radiology and from what he told me, the stipend at PGIMS Rohtak for an MD or MS is around
Hope this helps!
PGIMS Rohtak is one of the top medical colleges in India and has better OPD, better infrastructure, better fests, and more SS seats than AMU. You will be surprised to know that it has a separate super-specialty building. However, on the flip side, PGIMS students have to serve a bond of 2 years after MBBS and also have a lesser stipend than AMU.
It is easier to get general medicine in PG at AMU with AIR-7000 just after completing MBBS while in Haryana clinical PG seats are only available in PGIMS. So it will be quite difficult to get a general medicine seat in Haryana. Moreover, the academic environment at the UG level in JNMC is pretty good even if PGIMS is superior in OPD and infrastructure
The fees charged by JNMC AMU are quite less in comparison to PGIMS Rohtak. Also, the institute does not have any caste-based reservation so the quality of the crowd is not compromised at all. Lastly, AMU is a completely ragging-free campus.
So choose according to your priority.
One of my friends studied at PGIMS Rohtak. According to him, the college is also enthusiastic about sports like academics.
The college provides:
A number of sports activities are held like Basketball, volleyball, throwball, women cricket, tennis, badminton, athletics, etc. All departments MBBS, Dental, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing participate. This lasts for 3-5 days.
Both facilities and opportunities are provided to the students in extracurriculars.
PGIMER Chandigarh is one of the best medical institutes in India.
Its academic curriculum is matched by only a few other medical colleges. Apart from this, it offers advanced research facilities, dedicated faculties, and highly enthusiastic peers.
If you are planning to pursue your PG and get a desirable specialty at PGI, join the college without second thoughts. Although the work pressure is huge in most branches, the environment makes you well-trained for your medical career.
PGIMER Chandigarh offers really good medical studies, and you’ll learn a lot as a part of it. Thus, PGIMER Chandigarh is better than PGIMS Rohtak and SMS Jaipur.
The books followed by first-year medical students of PGIMS Rohtak are
Anatomy
Physiology
Biochemistry
Hope this helps you!
As a student of ABVIMS, I find myself eligible to answer this question.
In my opinion, the aforementioned institutes can be ranked in the following manner
MAMC>VMMC>PGIMS
Here are some strong reasons for this order
So choose wisely after weighing the pros and cons of both colleges.
As an alumnus of UCMS, I will shed some light on my college.
UCMS is one of the top 10 medical colleges in India. It falls under Delhi University. The academics are good, and the college fee is affordable. The campus is good too. Various college events are organized on a regular basis.
The seniors and faculty are very helpful. It is one of the major hospitals of East Delhi, so it has a lot of OPDs. The metro station is close by, so good connectivity is offered to other parts like Chandni Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, etc.
PGIMS Rohtak is the best medical college in Haryana. It has a very big campus and a lot of OPDs.
UCMS is a better choice. But if you wish to complete your degree from Haryana, you can choose PGIMS Rohtak.
PGIMS Rohtak intakes candidates for BAMS on the basis of CET merit.
The application form for CET is available in June. It can be obtained after a payment of Rs. 2400 (general) and Rs. 600 (ST/SC/Backward). The CET exam is held in July, and results are displayed in the same month. The first counseling session usually held in September.
You must be at least 17 years of age by the end of that year, and must have secured a minimum of 50% (general) and 40% (SC/ST/Backward) in 10+2 with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology to sit for CET.
The paper is for 3 hours duration and has a total of 180 questions for 180 marks. There is no negative marking. Questions are asked from 10+2 level Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The application form is available from the Controller of Finance, UHS Rohtak, or any designated branch of HDFC Rohtak, Ambala, Karnal, Gurgaon, and Hisar.
GMC Patiala is a better option than PGIMS Rohtak, especially considering its newly built hostel rooms and lecture halls. Most of the faculty here is highly experienced and friendly. The mess serves decent food.
Patiala offers a peaceful city life with very little pollution and crowds. Being one of the oldest cities, Patiala's rich heritage is a treat to the eyes so you will enjoy your time here. The city is developing at a fast pace and many new malls and railway links have been made. The locals are very hospitable and always in high spirits and have a positive and hopeful outlook towards life.
You will surely enjoy your time here!
