The placements of electrical and mechanical engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar were 86% and 83% respectively. The top recruiting companies that visited IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 were Capgemini, DELL, Honeywell, L&T construction, TATA Steel, etc.

Despite being a new IIT, Indian Institute Of Technology, Bhubaneswar is doing quite well both in academics and placement. According to NIRF Ranking, IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked at 26. The placement highlights from last year show 90% of students got a placement offer from this IIT. A total of 89 companies visited the campus for placement drive. Both the institutes VNIT and IIT Bhubaneswar have their merits, so the decision comes down to your choice of course. So, first, choose which course you want to pursue and then choose the institute offering a better program for that specific course.
