One of my friends studied at NICMAR. According to him, the software that is part of the curriculum are:
Among all these MS Project will be mostly used for your project. Also, most companies use MSP for planning.
Gathering more information and knowledge about the Project Management System is important because it is the core of the course. It will definitely be helpful for securing a job offer.
For the greatest exposure, you should enroll at NICMAR Pune. In India, the pedagogy offered to students in various disciplines stands out. Their primary course, ACM – Advanced Construction Programme, is in high demand, and students favor it above all others. NICMAR has also allotted 427 for ACM course.
If you are a fresher then ACM from NICMAR Pune is worth every penny. Do not hesitate if you want a career in Civil Engineering and Construction sector. It will provide you with an edge in your learning and comprehension process.
NICMAR University in Pune is a top school that was founded in 1983. There are two undergraduate courses and ten graduate courses at the institute.
NICMAR does a lot of study and works with businesses to solve problems in these areas. The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has given NICMAR the title "Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO)".The job profils offered to students PGP Acm are:
If you are a fresher:Technical and non-technical questions are likely to be there. In technical questions, they will ask you about your favorite subjects, projects, and industrial training or internship from graduation. Tell them two to three favorite subjects, tell them about your minor and major projects, and tell them about your training/internship and what you learned there. Before going for PI, make sure you know your favorite subjects and revise them.
If you have work experience: They'll undoubtedly inquire about your last employment, what you learned, what projects you've worked on, etc. To test your communication skills, they'll inquire about yourself and why you want to join NICMAR.
Advanced Construction Management, among many others, is a flagship course inaugurated by NICMAR and it apparently provides a broad insight both in aspects regarding construction as well as management. In every semester, there are about 6 to 7 subjects taught with inclusion of over two workshops.
Here are some of the subject choices of NICMAR,
The workshops, in addition, organize themes on software and construction activities, as per the requirement. Primavera, Microsoft project, Candy are to name a few among many others. The most important part of their workshop scheme is to emanate managerial skills among students and enhance their respective personalities.
There are a plethora of roles offered by NICMAR ACM which is their flagship course. Offers such as Business Development, Execution, Contracts, Project Coordination, Bidding process, Quantity Survey and Billing, material procurement, etc.
After Graduating from NICMAR, students get an average package of 9-10 LPA and experienced guys are entitled to higher packages.
After joining the industry, moving up the ladder will be based on your performance. Normally students get to mid-senior and senior levels within a few years of their job.
All in all, it is a great course to pursue and create an awesome career in Civil Engineering.
The answer to your question is based on the opportunity cost of the different opportunities you already have. Finding a suitable job as a new employee is typically very tough in the construction sector. Even if you want to work for free on a construction site, there are several challenges. The businesses would add you to their payroll, which would make for an excellent learning atmosphere but not a great career one. Therefore, I would suggest joining NICMAR if you're having problems obtaining a job that's decent.
However, if you have a job, I suggest you continue with your job and gather the learnings and later pursue a PGP in management from a better institution.
NICMAR's experience makes it hard to balance pros and cons.

Finally, is the course worth it?
Depending on the student and expectations, yes or no.
If you have an education loan and want to find a nice company with a good package, choose a good placement agency. They charge less and give you more.
If you're a student seeking personal and professional growth. Yes. The college won't help, but it's nice. Grow yourself. Teaching, research, and crowd support are below average.
In the ACM program offered by NICMAR, you will learn about, Construction Planning and Control, Procurement and Contract Management, and Digitization. CPM is a subject that is taught to Civil Engineering students during their Final year.
Construction planning and control is just an extension of CPM. You have studied about calculating the slack time in CPM but in CPC you use those concepts for scheduling the projects and keeping the projects on time (Like Operations management). It encompasses three Ms i.e., Manpower, Material, and Money.
You will learn about the cost associated with every activity that may be while using or storing as an inventory. It is an interesting subject to study and quite an applicable subject in an organizational setting
SCMHRD Infrastructure Management is better. The institute is widely recognized in the industry and ranks among the top B-Schools in the country. In this Infrastructure Management course, you will get to learn in detail about infrastructure policies, contract management, project finance, and other aspects of infrastructure such as airways, roads, rails, ports, urban development, renewable energy, etc. You will get to choose project execution or project finance according to your expertise.
100% of MBA IM students get placed each year. SCMHRD average package is around INR 6-8 LPA. Fortress Financial Services, ABPS Infrastructure, Capgemini, etc. were among the major recruiters.
