Should anyone go for IIIT, Bhopal (opened this year) IT or opt for CSE from JSS, Noida?
This kind of confusion arises among other students. My brother was also one of them and most of his seniors recommended IIIT because it is a premier national institute. No matter this is a new institute but soon this institute will take its place.
The other reason is that IIIT Bhopal’s mentor institute is MANIT Bhopal where the professors are from NIT. But if you are getting a fee waiver in JSS College then you should go for JSS.
Most importantly, JSS is a private institution and IIIT is a government college so you will benefit in terms of fees.
What should I choose, IT in BIET Jhansi or CS in JSS Noida?
BIET Jhansi is a government college whereas JSS Noida is a private college. I have heard a lot about JSS Noida as my brother graduated from this college last year. JSS being a private college charges a higher amount than BIET.
Both of the colleges are good enough to take admission but let’s compare it with a few factors.
- The infrastructure of BIET isn’t up to the mark whereas JSS Noida is well-maintained and has a beautiful campus that includes greenery as well.
- The hostel services and the premises of BIET are cheaper and aren’t well-furnished.
- As Jhansi is in Bundelkhand and it is a small city, BIET doesn’t provide good facilities because of its location.
- On the contrary, the students of JSS Noida have the access to prepare for any other competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, GATE, CSE, ESE, GMAT/GRE and many more.
- Noida is near Ghaziabad, which is the NCT of Delhi and many coaching institutes run in Ghaziabad.
- This fortunate opportunity isn’t available for the students of Jhansi.

You can go for CS at IET Lucknow since it will offer you a job right after the completion of your graduation. Other than that, it also provides a good environment to pursue your higher studies. The major upside of IET Lucknow is that you can choose to attend classes as minimally as possible so as to start studying on your own, without the further hindrance of a tight schedule.
Most essentially, you will find coaching classes for any higher-end exams in close vicinity to the main institute. Thus, you can join any personalized coaching class depending on your field.
Which college should I choose for CSE, IET Lucknow or JSS Noida? The fees are not an issue. Focus on environment, campus, hostel and what is taught in CSE.
I can give you some information on both institutes since I have friends from both IET Lucknow and JSS Noida. Based on the reviews that I got from my friends I will say choosing JSS Noida will be better. It has a locational advantage, which plays a crucial role.
- The curriculum of JSS Noida is in accordance with the current industry trends. In the first two semesters, you will learn the same courses as any other engineering institutes in India. You can get the detailed syllabus from the website.
- JSS has a good reputation in the industry. Alumni of the institute are working on Google, Microsoft, etc. Many reputed companies visit the campus for the placement drive including IBM, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, etc.
For IET, the location is an issue. The faculty and curriculum are not that great either. So, I will suggest you choose JSS Noida.
What should I opt if I'm getting HBTU chemical branch, IET lucknow lower branches or JSS Noida CS in terms of placement and environment?
HBTU and IET Lucknow both are government colleges and are considered to be tier 3 colleges whereas JSS Noida is a private institute and is considered a Tier 4 college. Normally tier 3 is favored upon tier 4 but in this case, JSS Noida is a very fine institute as of now both in terms of academics and placements.
- Private colleges like JSS Noida offer better opportunities and facilities than government institutes.
- The placement HBTU and IET Lucknow are the same as JSS Noida.
- Students from the CSE branch of JSS Noida get into well-based companies and MNCs and are offered packages far better than that of HBTU and IET Lucknow.
- Normally students from HBTU and IET Lucknow get offered packages worth around 8-10 LPA.
- This is the same with JSS Noida for other engineering courses but for CSE the packages reach up to 25 LPA.
- Students from Chemical engineering are not employed by any core companies in India as they are very few.

CSE branch has more value than any other engineering branch. The best option would be CSE from JSS Noida rather than Chemical engineering from HBTU or other engineering branches from IET Lucknow.
What is better, placement-wise, IET Lucknow CS or JSS Noida CS with a fee waiver seat?
JSS Noida will be a better option for you. The location factor is also very important. After completing course, you can easily get a job in any of the IT in Noida. The off-campus chances of getting placed are also high. You will also get good industrial exposure in the JSS Noida college. The college is very strict in attendance. The company has got a lot of placement opportunities. The labs and equipment of the college are also well equipped.
IET Lucknow being a government college is good for core branches only. The CS and IT branch of the college is not that good. If you are planning for GATE and other competitive exams. you might get ample time for that because there is no such attendance system.
