Is Amity University Noida good for B.tech CS?

Amity University is pretty good for computer science. The maximum number of companies come for recruitment is for CSE and IT. Amity University provides world-class infrastructure and facilities to its students. It provides all types of laboratories for research and development. Almost 12 computer science-based clubs and society is present in college. Some of named are:

  • Amity computer architecture club
  • Amity web designing and coding club
  • Amity software engineering club
  • Amity AI club
  • Amity DBMS club

These clubs organize many technical events on a regular basis for providing competitive experience to students. The college also has two student chapters named ACM and IET in the CSE department. These chapters motivate students and provide a platform for research and innovation. University also organizes small workshops for students on a regular basis. Amity is also well known for its placements. Students placed in following companies bags an average package of 3.0 Lakhs per annum:

Amity University offers various UG, PG, and Doctorate level courses in different fields such as Psychology, Anthropology, Animation, Biotechnology, etc. Direct Admission is offered to those who score 80%+ in class 12 from a recognized board. These students are exempted from the selection process. Selection is done solely on the basis of the Amity Application form. Anyone can become part of the recruitment process, and there is no interview process for Direct Admission. To avail of this 

  • Your minimum required percentage for direct admission should be 80%.
  • Fill out the Amity form, submit the application form fee for the course for which you are applying, and upload your 12th mark sheet.

Once done, wait for 2 or 3 days and then Amity University will let you know the results.

What is the sponsored category at Amity University?

Amity University has categorized admissions as sponsored and non-sponsored. The sponsored category students include those candidates who have low merit in the required qualifying examination. 

The university reduces the eligibility and cutoff criteria for such students for which they are charged comparatively higher fees. In most of the courses available at Amity University, the institute has provided a 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria to students who are willing to take admission under the sponsored category.

The table below shows the difference in the cutoff criteria for admission under sponsored and non-sponsored categories for an MBA at Amity University Noida:
