Is it easy for JBIMS students to get loans?

JBIMS does not have an MOU or tie-up with any bank but JBIMS ranks among the top 10 B schools in the list of all banks. Thus, it makes it easier to avail loan services. Banks like the Central Bank of India and SBI have special schemes for these institutes at affordable rates which is an interest rate (6.5%) plus the Bank charge which is about 1.6%. The scheme covers all expenditures along with tuition fees.

How are the summer placements at JBIMS?

During the summer placement of MMS batch 2022-24, more than 50 recruiters visited JBIMS and among them, 17 were new recruiters. The highest stipend offered was INR 7.93 lakhs, the average stipend was INR 2.26 lakhs and the median stipend was INR 2.14 lakhs. Most of the offers were made in the BFSI & IB sector, followed by Consulting. Some of the top recruiters were Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, Accenture, BCG, etc. 

The summer internship placement of MSc Finance recorded the highest stipend of INR 2.4 lakhs, an average stipend of INR 85.3K and a median stipend of INR 70K. The roles offered were Equity Research, Investment Banking, Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Finance Planning & Analysis, Wealth Management, etc.

What kind of companies visit JBIMS during the placements?

Companies from various sectors like BFSI & IB, Consulting, FMCG & Pharma, IT & e-commerce, Manufacturing & Conglomerate visit JBIMS. BFSI & IB made the most number of offers during the 2023 placements. Some of the major companies in the BFSI sector include Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Citibank, DBS, HDFC Bank, HSBC, JM Financial, Kotak Investment Advisors Ltd., NPCI etc. They offer roles like Credit Analyst, Derivatives Trader, Institutional Equity Research, Investment Banking, Product Management, etc.

The consulting sector witnessed prestigious companies like Accenture Strategy, Deloitte, EY, Infosys Consulting, KPMG, McKinsey & Co., PwC, etc, They offered coveted roles such as Analyst, Junior Associate, Management Consultant & Tech Consultant.

What is the average package of JBIMS?

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies runs 3 full-time courses: MMS, M.Sc. Finance and MHRD. Placement activities of each course are taken care by the respective placement committees. The average compensation for the academic Year 2023 is INR 28.02 LPA for MMS, INR 21.36 LPA for M.Sc. Finance and INR 19 LPA for MHRD.

Is there any dress code for JBIMS?

JBIMS does not have a dress code, but the students are expected to dress up decently.  The students should be in formal attire during placement, committee activities, guest lectures, seminars, external presentations, etc. 

A standard formal dress code in a business environment is a full matching business suit, including a shirt, jacket, pants or skirt and tie for men. Men should go with black shoes and women can choose Mules, Loafers, Oxfords, black or neutral colour Pumps, and Ballet flats.
