MCA at VJTI is a postgraduate program designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in computer science. It is a three-year-long course comprising 6 semesters. The curriculum comprises theoretical knowledge, practical sessions and project work through internships. 

The fees for the MCA program can vary annually depending upon the upgrades and changes in the course. Generally, the first-year fees for MCA are INR 87,084. It makes the total fees for the three-year course to be around INR 2.60 Lakhs. You are advised to check the college website for the latest fee updates or contact the admission cell for further details regarding the fees. 

You can take admission to the VJTI MCA course through the MAH MCA CET entrance exam.

MCA is one of the flagship programs at VJTI and as a former student, I can state that admission to its MCA course is pretty straightforward. First of all, you should check whether you are eligible or not for the MCA course. The basic eligibility criteria include a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a UGC-recognised university. 

Once you are eligible for the course, you have to appear in the MAH MCA CET entrance exam. VJTI provide admission to its MCA courses based on the entrance exam. You have to appear in the exam and try to match the MCA cutoff provided by the college. The 2023 MAH MCA CET cutoff for VJTI was 99.55.

Before appearing in the exam, you must register for the centralised admission process (CAP). It is controlled by DTE, Maharashtra. After clearing the exam, you have to appear in the selection process which generally consists of a group discussion and an interview. Every year VJTI takes in around 60 students for the MCA course.

Yes, LPU does have a dedicated placement cell for MCA students. According to the placement data that I could get, the average package offered to MCA students during LPU placements is around INR 8 - 9 LPA. The companies that have recruited MCA students in the past include TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Zomato, Swiggy, etc.

The student can visit the official website of LPU and can apply for admission online or they can also visit the campus and get their admission done in the administrative office within 2-3 hours.
