New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) successfully organised the annual Supply Chain Practitioner's Council (SCPC). The event was held at its Mumbai campus to bring together like-minded people on the same platform.

As per SPJIMR, the event witnessed participation from various industry experts, speakers and panel members. During the session, speakers discussed the impact of emerging digital commerce initiatives on supply chain imperatives with the audience.

At the Annual Supply Chain Practitioner's Council, the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Shesha Iyer, who shared his thoughts on the illustrious history of Bhavan and SPJIMR and discussed the developments in the field of the supply chain.

Participants shared their insight on the theme of "Emerging digital commerce initiatives and supply chain imperatives”. The session was attended by Industry leaders, including Ms Nemisha Ghia, COO of More Retail and Mr Santosh Rao, Partner and Executive Director-India-South Asia at IBM iX.

In addition to this, Mr Dhritiman Chakraborty, CSCP, Director Operations at Ingram Micro India Limited, Mr Sameer Jain, VP of Supply Chain at Jio, Mr Swapnil Shah, Founder of Freight Tiger, and Mr Manish Gupta, Founding Partner at Kuiper Solution also spoke at the event.

Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Debmallya Chatterjee, Department Chair, Operations, Supply Chain Management & Quantitative Methods, commented, "The Supply Chain Practitioner's Council event served as a platform for industry experts, academia, and students to explore emerging digital commerce initiatives and supply chain imperatives”.

“The panel discussions, keynote address, and enthusiastic participation in the hackathon highlighted our commitment to driving innovation and excellence in supply chain management”, he further added.
